i am a big yankee fan and it's easy to concede the division title, and the wild card is going to be a tough road.the injuries and overall aging suddenly of the big free agents over the last 5 yrs is really hitting them hard.it's time to scale down and rid of some overpaid underachievers.10 plus yrs of winning and playoff appearances spoil you, everyone has to turn a page eventually.

He's declared activated when he's on a Yankees roster, he's not getting paid till he pitches.
I saw an interview with Brian Cashman (Yankees G.M.) last night and he was talking about this issue, so I'll take his word for it.
