They've been shit since Seasons. Sell out wankers.
-
sell out? some of their stuff since seasons, like dittohead, are among the hardest and fastest they've ever played
wtf you talking about
-
I stopped listening to them after Reign in Blood
-
too bad they sounded pretty much the same over the years and stayed true to their roots
-
After their Hell Awaits album I heard "Seven Churches" form Possessed and that pretty much sums it up ............. that was the way to go for me
-
him and Hanneman can play some guitar that's for sure, he used to crack me up with that crazy forearm sleeve with the big nails he used to wear, how old is he?
-
He's from 1964

They haven't produced anything even remotely good in years, but disillusioned teens who have grown out of emo seem to like it :-\

Like Bluto?
The real Slayer died after Seasons. Divine was OK - but the previous 6 albums [including live undead] were so fucking awesome 'OK' just wasn't good enough. As for the dross they've released since then...
Out of curiosity i borrowed their most recent album from my brother [who, funnily enoughy likes EMO] - and its atrocious. Limp, boring and totally uninspiring. I hope they die in a car crash. Wankers.
-
Divine was their Countdown to Extinction, Vulgar Display of Power, Black album.
The pinnacle if you will. After that anything seems silly.
Now here's the real kicker. We take the piss on bands who change (metallica) but we take the piss on bands who stay the same (slayer). I'm not saying I don't do it I'm just pointing out the irony.

You couldn't be any more wrong.
1] Slayer did not "stay the same." You fucking moron, go listen to Hell Awaits, then listen to whatever the recent abomination was called. Actually, listen to show no mercy - its a speeded up, punkish [in a good way] version of Judas Priest! Love that album, great for parties!
2] Divine had three good songs. The rest was filler. Although, i did see them on their UK tour with Machine Head in support, and DI is a great song live.
