a measly 25 inches. alot of guys that are much stronger squatters have smaller quads than me..
around 220-230lbs?..

is that so? last friday i did only 2 sets for legs on the legpress, 20 reps each to failure, i cant walk normal for days now. if muscle-soreness is the indication that your muscles are gonna grow, then you re better off in the high reps area.

Off topic but my experience tells me muscle soreness don't do shit for muscle growth

I just think that progressing every week (writing down everything you do really helps) is the key. I really like 5x5.
day 1
Bench 5x5
Squat 5x5
Barbellrows 5x5
day 2
Frontsquat 3x3
Deadlift 5x5
Militarypress 5x5
Latpulldown 5x5
day 3 same as day 1.
are you doing the dual factor program? How long have u been on this routine?

i couldnt walk the stairs when i completed my high reps to failure, doesnt that mean that i took it to maximum?
if i go heavy with low reps, i walk with no problem.

Ive done that for 2 weeks now. Loving it.
I hope you're cycling your wieghts properly, Squatting 5x5 twice a week, and deadlifting once a week is a lot of workload! I would go lighter on the other squat day, cut the deadlift sets, add in tricep work and hyper's.

As for the squat, I don't know.. It's hard to tell how much someone squats.. I'd guess you can atleast do 225 for a few reps.

lol...nah they are alright. but nothing special.
if comparing their size, to my legs size, and judging your strength by that...i would say that you squat like 185. lol...i cant squat worth shit though. but i can fill up any leg press machine, do the full stack of any quad extensions machine, and ALMOST fill up every hack squat that ive ever used.
my legs just dont do free weights. idk why
