Could some one who knows a little about judging figure help me out here?  How did the second place finisher, Ms. Cooke, beat Ms. Slone, which ended up in 10th place?  or Ms. Rotar who took 7th place?

Cooke appears much straighter in the v-taper and her backside does not appear to be close.  Is there something that I'm missing?  Does Cooke have better balance or symmetry or something?  Sometimes this figure stuff is hard to decipher.
