Milos Sarcev suspended from the IFBB!
News has spread thru my gym that MIlos has been suspended from the IFBB regarding statements he has made about the judging over at the asian games. Below is the suspension explanation that was sent out.
May 29, 2007, to Mr. Milos Sarcev, C/o Koloseum Gym, 1101 South Placentia Avenue, Fullerton, CA, 92831 USA. Sent by e-mail to milos@milossarcev.com and to milossarcev@gmail.com and by International Courier
IFBB PRO LEAGUE DECISION
IN THE MATTER OF YOUR CONDUCT
DURING THE BODYBUILDING COMPETITION AT THE ASIAN GAMES,
DOHA, QATAR, DECEMBER 8-9, 2006
1. On January 3, 2007, the Pro League notified you that, on receiving letters of complaint from Mr. Paul Chua, IFBB Executive Assistant to the President, IFBB Vice President for Asia and Secretary-General of the Asian BodyBuilding Federation (ABBF), and Mr. Walter van den Branden (Netherlands), President of the Netherlands Bodybuilding & Fitness Federation and IFBB International Judge, it had appointed an ad hoc Pro Disciplinary Committee to investigate your conduct during the Bodybuilding competition at the Asian Games, which were held in Doha, Qatar, on December 8-9, 2006.
2. The Committee notes that you were present at the Doha Asian Games as coach of Malaysian athletes Mr. Sazali Abd Samad, who placed 2nd in the 65 Kg category on December 8, 2006, and Mr. Tiaw Teck Leong, who placed 4th in the 80 Kg category on December 9, 2006.
3. In his December 11, 2006 complaint, Mr. Chua claims that, on or about December 8-9, 2006, dissatisfied with the placings of Mr. Samad and Mr. Leong, you made statements in a public forum; specifically, to journalists and/or reporters, which were then circulated throughout Asia by various news outlets (including Reuters), that he [Mr. Chua] fixed the results of the Bodybuilding competition at the Doha Asian Games.
4. In his December 13, 2006 complaint, Mr. van den Branden claims that, on or about December 8-11, 2006, you made statements in a public forum; specifically, at the competition venue site and at the Doha International Airport, that he [Mr. van den Branden] received money to manipulate the results of the Bodybuilding competition at the Doha Asian Games.
5. Since the burden of proof rests with you, the Committee provided you with two opportunities, on January 3, 2007, and again, on February 13, 2007, to submit factual evidence to support your allegations of wrongdoing against Mr. Chua and Mr. van den Branden. On both occasions, you failed to respond as requested and therefore, on March 5, 2007, you were provisionally suspended in conformity with Pro Rule 9.11 (Provisional Suspensions).
6. On April 30, 2007, in conformity with Pro Rule 10.1 (Hearings), you participated in a hearing by teleconference call, at which time the Committee asserted that you violated Pro Rules 9.5 (Contest or Judging Decisions) and 9.6 (Public Statements) and clauses 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17 of the Pro Code of Ethics.
7. You did not deny making statements to the media accusing Mr. Chua of fixing the results of the Bodybuilding competition at the Doha Asian Games. You did deny making statements accusing Mr. van den Branden of receiving money to manipulate the results at the same competition.
8. With respect to the issue of proof; specifically, factual evidence to support your allegations of wrongdoing against Mr. Chua and Mr. van den Branden; you admitted to having none. Despite the lack of proof, you refused to withdraw your statements and to apologize to Mr. Chua and to Mr. van den Branden.
FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMITTEE
9. The Committee finds that you did falsely accuse, in a public forum, Mr. Paul Chua and Mr. Walter van den Branden of wrongdoing; specifically, of fixing the results and/or of receiving money to manipulate the results of the Bodybuilding competition at the Doha Asian Games.
10. The Committee further finds that your conduct was a violation of Pro Rules 9.5 and 9.6 and clauses 5, 8, 10, 16 and 17 of the Pro Code of Ethics, and that such conduct was prejudicial to the IFBB Pro League, the IFBB and the aforementioned officials.
11. The Committee recommends that you be suspended for a period of one year.
FINAL DECISION
12. It is the final decision of the IFBB Pro League that you be suspended for a period of one year, from December 8, 2006 to December 8, 2007.
13. In conformity with Pro Rule 9.3 (Suspension Conditions), while under suspension you may not compete, give exhibitions or seminars, judge, officiate or otherwise participate in an official capacity at any IFBB Pro League competition.
14. It is also the decision of the IFBB Pro League that you immediately cease and desist from any and all further attacks, public or otherwise (including Internet websites), against Mr. Chua, Mr. van den Branden, the IFBB and/or any of its officials, failing which further disciplinary measures may be imposed, including expulsion from the IFBB Pro League.
15. Pursuant to Pro Rule 10.2 (Appeals), you have the right to appeal this decision within ten days of the date of the decision, failing which the right of appeal is lost.
This report is signed below by the Secretary of the ad hoc Pro Disciplinary Committee on behalf of, and with the approval of, all members of said Committee.
Tony Blinn, Secretary, Pro Disciplinary Committee
Jim Rockell, Member, Pro Disciplinary Committee
Steve Weinberger, Member, Pro Disciplinary Committee
cc. Jim Manion, Chairman, IFBB Professional League
cc. Stephen R. Stern, Legal Counsel, IFBB Professional League

Let me be the first to.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
Payback is a bitch he Milos?
-
Disgusting. Absolutely fucking disgusting. If i was Milos i would go to the mainstream press and start spilling the beans about the IFBB. The corrupt judges, the gay judges, the drugs, the rats etc etc.
In the distance i can hear Chick and Shawn clinking their champagene glasses together. C unts.

Dude that has nothing to do with what happend with him and Silvio... he open his mouth to many time, If you want to hurt Chick and Shawn at least try not to give them to much ammunition.
-
Milos says he has tons of proof of the wrongdoings. Why didn't he supply them when he had the chance? Whether he is right or wrong I don't think he will have any proof that is unquestionable. He will take the suspension and that's the end of it I'm afraid.
-
good for milos IMO. Takes balls to stick up for what you beleive in. My respect for milos just went up a notch.

Mainstream press wouldnt give a damn. When people die or get hurt badly they care. Til then bodybuilding will get No play.

It is his on fault

I still think that is not right. They should have banned for more than a year or at least a year from the date of the letter was issued

::)
lol I'm just fucking with ya ;D
My english is much worse than yours, but I'm German it's expected from me to talk like a fuggin Nazi ;D
-
This is true. It is his own doing.
Any explanation yet?
-
I dunno. Milos has been really quiet lately so something might be brewing...
All he's ever tried to do is promote bodybuilding as a fantastic sport requiring dedication and knowledge. Ironically he has also been one of the IFBBs most fervant supporters - I'm guessing he now sees them for what they really are.
-
I'd like to hear Hank Wood s view on this...
-
I look at this....& think of our buddy Milos:

why did somebody "accidentally" step on him? ;D
-
Strange that Milos's actions and accusations regarding the amateur side of the IFBB gets him banned from the Pro League, but not from the amateur side.
The best thing the IFBB could do to gain respectability as an amateur athletic organization is have term limits on all its executives.
-
Does he lose the Weider (or is it AMI?) contract too, during the time of the suspension?
-
How exactly does this effect Milos? It's not like he was planning on competing in the next year anyway... how many years ago was the last time he competed? This is sorta like your high school "suspending" you after you've already graduated. ::)

He says he was going to compete in Colorado, but since his wife refused to do Shawn's show he felt he too had to reconsider. Sounds like he left the option open until the day before though.

Well...being that he is a PRO, how could they suspend him from the amateurs??

what was his job at this contest? as an official representative of one of the national IFBB orgs, as coach of the Malaysian team.
-
what was his job at this contest?
To keep an eye on Silvio and make sure he wasn't taking to the "wrong people". ;D

He was the coach, and a current IFBB pro...
-
He was the coach, and a current IFBB pro...
it's unlikely that he paid for a ticket to the Asian games, he had credentials, a badge that got him into the venue.
Now he's been barred from IFBB pro events, but it seems that he still can participate in IFBB amateur events.
-
Chick can you explain this for us.
In your own words the code of ethics is just a guide, but now its enforceable to ban people?
Either you abide by the Code of Ethics and hold all members to it or throw it away, this is double standards at its best.
-
IFBB is a f-ing joke... they beat to their own drum, enforce rules when they want to enforce them, have all the athletes whipped and an athletes rep that does more for corporate than for the athletes he represents..... funny how you don't see ANY of this in true sport leagues like NFL, MLB, NBA, even lower tier like MLS or WNBA....hell even the WWE is less corrupt!!!!! hear's to Milos, LEE and others out there....time to call them out on the carpet....bring this monoply down

Of course the Code is enforcable...it says so right in the language. Whether the violation IS enforced or not is a matter of individual basis, prior warnings/ violations and severity of the infraction....
much like when someone gets pulled over for drunk driving, they end up getting tickets for DWI/ Failure to obey a traffic device/ seatbelt/ unsafe start, etc.....

ALL I CAN SAY IS WELCOME MILOS TO THE CLUB ;D

Milos has 10 days to appeal, and Chick, as the Athletes Rep, is going to help him with his appeal.

The question that Milos needs to answer is did he falsely accuse these two of wrongdoing. You need to have some sort of proof if you accuse someone.

If I accuse you of being gay....does that make you gay?
I can see you trying to sue me for slander....but then you have a little thing here in the United States called freedom of speech.
I see this going no where
-
It is one thing to say someone fixed a contest and that the contest results seem fixed. Ditto about someone receiving money. If you do not personally know that and have evidence you are not going to be able to survive a hearing if it is one person's word against the other.
Whether Paul personally interferred with that contest is unclear but the contest result sucks (going by the evidence of photos and experts who witnessed the competition).
They forgot to mention that Paul Chua is appointed a vice-president. That is not an elected position.

If I'm not mistaken, his proof mysteriously got cold feet and apologized, strange isn't it?
I believe these Asian games are very financially rewarding for the winners, and having the right "friends" could help, is the rumor I heard, whether or not it's true......well....

BUILDING ON HIS AWARDS
By Gary Lim
May 25, 2005
The New Paper
THREE years after the $250,000 cash bonanza for winning an Asian Games gold medal, Abdul Halim Haron's (right) life has changed. No longer does the bodybuilder have to juggle two jobs just to support his family and his passion for the sport.
The article is from a Singapore newspaper, so I assume it's SG$, which would be US$162,580
This is why the top Asian bodybuilders don't turn pro in the IFBB after winning their national championships. They make more money as an amateur than they ever could as a pro.

Is Milos's suspension the punch in the face that Raphael was supposed to want to give him (As mentioned by Bob C)?
Can Milos hold any more free seminars while he is suspended?
Notice the suspension also forbids Milos from posting on the internet about that business.

If you read the suspension notice, you would have seen that it says he cannot hold seminars during suspension ::)

You have the wrong guy...it was Manion that had an issue with Milos, not Raphael.
Can Milos hold any more free seminars while he is suspended?
Milos can hold as many seminars as he wishes...
Notice the suspension also forbids Milos from posting on the internet about that business.
Or WHAT? They suspend him??
-
Seems to me if Jim Manion had a personal issue with Milos (wanting to punch him in the face) he should not have been involved with any disciplinary action or hearing involving Milos. That clearly is not justice because it can be seen to be vindictiveness.
Who handles complaints about Jim Manion?
Bob, since when are you NOT an official of the IFBB? Surely you are the official IFBB pro rep? I expect you to dress properly for media presentations. Follow the lead that professional Dan Soloman displays. No more Greek jokes, okay? Those jokes are no longer PC.
Hope this helps.
-
Hmmmm.....In real sports (Hockey, Baseball, Basketball) The head of the players union ALWAYS has the back of the players he represents. You on the other hand aren't an athletes rep you are an Ifbb guy
Hope this helps.

Both men said things while hot under the collar...bottom line is, they have a COMMITEE, not just one person who looks at the situation....believe me, I have 50 pages of documentation to look through

Ben Weider..now Raphael Santonja.

Hey, Bob, you give my posts attention which is a big improvement. Thanks for that.
Didn't Milos and Weinburger have issues in the past? That makes two guys who aren't pals with Milos. That committee sounds more like a gang that a group that can dispel justice. No wonder so many get what they deserve.
Manion clearly had a conflict of interest and should have not been involved.
Ditto if a guy is judging a person he is mates with or prepared for a show.
Wear a tie out of respect for Ben Weider. Is that too much to ask? Wear a gold tie like I know you want to.

MIlos has had conflicts with just about everybody at one time or another....the commitee is the commitee. You cant just appoint people who arent in that capacity.
