Despite King James making it to the Finals..
The Spurs are to blame. They are fucking boring an nobody gives a flying fuck about them.
I was glued to the tv last year as D-Wade dominated the Mavs, but I can't bear to watch this year's garbage(Spurs).
-
Yeah, i could give two fucks about this series. the warrior were more fun to watch than either of these teams by a long shot. the warriors are what the NBA needs, not the boring spurs and boring cavs.
-
nobody is watching because everybody knew after the spurs defeated the suns that they would win it all

I'm watching. The Spurs are great. Much better than the Miami Heat with D-Whistle. (Miami was the worst NBA champion I've ever seen.) The problem isn't the Spurs, it's the Cavs, who stink.
-
It's not that they're boring, it's that the entire playoffs were rigged.
Who wants to watch that?

thank you, at least someone knows what the fuck they are talking about.

yes, they rigged it so the spurs would win. one of the smallest market teams in the league, with no big media icons. your reasoning is incredible. why dont you stick to paying heavily muscled women to put you in a headlock you little schmoe

Stern loves Tim Duncan.
Bowen reaches out and deliberately pushes James on the final play of the game last night, yet no foul was called.
If the Spurs are so great, why do they need to play dirty? You can shout all you want, but that's not a brand of basketball that I am going to respect, Duncan, Parker, and Manu notwithstanding.

Duncan is the best big man in the game. Great on and off the court. College graduate. Why wouldn't Stern love him?
Yes Bowen fouled LeBron, but that didn't determine the outcome of the game. Even LeBron said that the foul didn't interfere with his shot. I don't think it was in the act of shooting anyway.
The Spurs are not a dirty team. How many flagrant fouls have been called in this series? They are simply beating the Cavs like a drum because are head and shoulders a better team.
-
The Spurs have more talent, so why is it necessary to help them at all?
And yeah, their dirty play has already been exposed this post-season, which is why I have no interest in watching the Finals. Didn't watch the WCF either, because of them.

i think tre is saying this stuff on purpose just to get a reaction, cause no human can really be that stupid.

Agreed.
But maybe he is a myopic Laker fan. Then he could be that stupid.

The NBA has sucked since the early 90's. Bring back Bird, Magic and the Lakers, Celtic rivalry of the 80's. All those teams would have cleaned house of any team today and any of the Bulls teams. Those teams were DEEP. Stacked 1 thru 11.

Don't tell Scottie Pippen that. I think he is the only guy on planet earth who really believes that the Bulls team of '96 would have beaten any of the Celtic or Laker teams of the 80's. Even the Bad Boys would have smashed that '96 team in 5 or 6 games IMO. The '89 Piston team is probably the most underrated team in NBA history, they were incredible.
SERGIO!!!!

Hate on kobe all you like but he brings the ratings up, so does Shaq and wade.

Another great, underrated team, the 1982-83 76r's.

It was boring because everyone I talked to agreed it was either gonna go 4-1 or a sweep (sweep is what i thought) with the Spurs winning. The cavs really weren't that great and had no chance, the Suns or Mavs would have also dominated the Cavs (I liked Golden State too). The east was really weak but the Pistons would have been a much bigger Challenge for the spurs.

Wade jerseys outsold lebrons..

I don't think he should be in the position of apologizing or should be speaking like he did in the press conference. To much was said.

Wade jerseys outsold lebrons..
wade is better then lebron.

Wade jerseys outsold lebrons..
only because he won a title last year

thats the main criteria, the ring, lebron has 10 years to get one, so i aint hating on him
-
if lebron played for the heat and wade played for the cavs who would have the ring right now?

Even a few years back I was stoked over the Kings v Lakers rivalry.. And the Nets' run to the finals twice. Now I could care less..

IF's dont cut it man, it is what it is, IF i fucked angelina jolie she would be happier, IF i was an actor i would win a Oscar.

Honestly, I don't know why I still bother to care. Other than a few isolated bright spots (The Warriors/Mavs series, that one Nuggets victory, the frustratingly infrequent flashes of greatness from LeBron), this year's NBA playoffs were the most boring and mechanical I can remember. Now that the San Antonio Spurs have trudged their way to a fourth championship with all the passion and urgency of a pack of Office Space drones, at least this abortion of a season has come to an end. The Spurs made it quick, dropping the Cavaliers in four straight games. And I blame myself for even watching that ass-ugly series; this year's ending was determined the moment that NBA commissioner David Stern decided to suspend Amare Stoudamire and Boris Diaw for basically nothing, effectively squashing any chance that his league might generate a few more interesting stories this spring. And still, like an idiot, I held out hope even through last night's game that LeBron games would start gargling blood and spitting fire, finding his inner demon-god and laying waste to the most boringly dominant dynasty in recent sports history. The really infuriating thing was that he always could've done it; I lost count of the moments where he should've just banged on defensive dipshit Bruce Bowen. But he usually passed to the open scrubs on his team instead, knowing full-well that they'd probably miss their uncontested three-pointers. So last night marked a disappointing end to a disappointing season, and there's really no redemption in sight for my favorite sport.
Maybe a couple of general managers will make a couple of smart off-season decisions or Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony will have time to gel in the off-season and come into the year looking unstoppable and all of a sudden we'll have a competitive league again. See? These fuckers are already roping me in again.

Is it cause the Spurs were in the finals the ratings dropped?
I would of thought the leagues highest touted player (Lebroom James) would of encouraged more viewers.

Nobody cares. It could have been Celtics-Lakers. Wouln't have mattered. The NBA is a very distant third behind the NFL and MLB. In the late 70's the NBA finals were shown on tape delay. Its going back in that direction. The next NBA tv contract will be peanuts compared to what it is today.

I love betting the NBA playoffs but these games are unwatchable.
