If this was ANYONE else i'd call, BS. But MARKUS is on a class of his own.

I don't think RONNIE could do it.

BTW Most mags are full of shit.

Markus Rühl is indeed stronger at shoulder presses than Benchpress or Incline presses.
But he love to do his shoulder presses in a smith machine (his incline presses also).

yeah markus has some rediculous delts.... I read in his newest training interview with branch that he he cant do regular barbell squats because his delts get in the way and he cant get the bar over them...thats when you know your a monster.

markus is one of my favorite bodybuilders. Hes really trained hard.. even when he was around 17-20 he was a very big size.  I'm sure he will do well with his next shows.

Ive seen him sticking to the machines in videos but who knows..hes a bad ass but if wants to win big shows I think he might need to taper his proportions a little bit....

I  like Ruhl, seems like a cool dude as bodybuilders go. I agree that he went overboard on the delt and 'cep oil.

but it`s also no "fake weights". I trained in the same gym several times. His biggest bodyparts (Delts, bizeps) are also his (relative) strongest ones.

..but ill check the trailer where he supposedly presses   572lbs for reps in the smith machine... ::).

and doing a one inch motion doesnt count as a rep.

I have the dvd.  He does it full up and down reps.  I'm sure hes one of the strongest bodybuilders today.  Most of his lifts like legpress..shoulderpress. .benchpress.. all heavy weight.  Never seen any other bodybuilder lift that heavy.

I don't give a shit what Markus can smith machine press - I appreciate the simple fact that his delts are twice the side of his head!  So are his biceps!  He is a true freak, almost cartoon like!

Just one time, I would like to walk up to Markus and say, "Hey Markus, when are you going to put on some size?!"  :o ??? ;D ::)

Maybe, maye not.....i think this year will show if Markus career is going up or down. I only heard that he was in June the biggest he`s ever been....

At the DVD "made in germany" there is no Shoulder Press with the 200 lbs dumbells (only standing shoulder pressing in a machine). Markus indeed is stronger in Shoulder presses than in incline presses. For heavy work he`s using the smith machine most of the time (more save to avoid serious injury),
In his gym in Kelsterbach (Ottwald Gym) he also have a dumbell stack up to 200 lbs, but i never seen him using that dumbells for his pressing exercises. I trained 10-15 times in that gym when i`m the the "Frankfurt/Main area".

He's never done synthol in his biceps or delts. Look at his pictures after just two years of training and you'll see his shape is the exact same as it is now just smaller. The shoulder presses are near the end of Part 4. It's not like a seated press or anything but a standing front press, it's pretty much the best movement to use the most weight on. Here's all the parts of his Made In Germany DVD:

Part 1:http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/made+in+germany/video/x2mv1i_markus-ruhl-made-in-germany-pt1_extreme

Part 2:http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/made+in+germany/video/x2n2vg_markus-ruhl-made-in-germany-pt2_extreme

Part 6:http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/made+in+germany/video/x2n4sr_markus-ruhl-made-in-germany-pt6_extreme

He does 532lbs 8 times, all the way down and all the way up.

he has used oil in biceps, shoulders etc. he has amazing shoulders even without the oil, but that doesnt change the fact that he has obviously used oil.

I think when people are slamming the PROS for not doing full reps or doing the reps and exercises differently than shown in the mags, they don't realize that they are doing this to keep constant tension on the muscle. Also, to build big muscles, you need big weights (doh) and using things like the smith machine is a good way to get the most out your heavy lifts, without injuring yourself...

As for the oil, i don't think there are many Pro's that have not used it, but i don't think that takes anything away from them. They still have dedicated their whole lives to being athletes. I personally use steroids, but would never use oil (synthol). With that stuff you only need to fuck once and it's, hello eternity...

Ruhl isn't even exploring his strength, otherwise he woul be even stronger than Ronnie. With 3 months of powerlifting training Ruhl (as well as other bbers) would wipe most powerlifters ass. Don't forget that powerlifting is for one rep, with lots of technique, shirt, blá blá... (I do powerlifting myself, but the funy part is that I felt stronger while I was bbing... all round speaking)

On the last set hes got 3 blues and 3 yellows on the bar. The blues are 20kg each. The yellows are 15kg each. That is 210kg total. Provided that the bar is 20kg it would make it 230kg total.
