As you may know, I live in hicktown, FL and don't get to many expos. But whenever I look at a pic from expos, very often you'll see fans and bodybuilders with horrible sweat spots, even though they are wearing sleeveless shirts and/or sitting.
Do these folks sweat that profusely on a daily basis? Or do they choose not to run the air conditioner in these semi-packed high school auditoriums? Thanks in advance!

The only expo I have ever been to is the 07 Arnold Expo. It was held in the Convention Center in downtown Columbus, a relatively new venue.
The ventilation was awful. It was hot, stuffy, and just plain sickening. (Look up my thread "Columbusdude's first Arnold" if you want more details.)
I felt sorry for those folks who worked there and had to be there all three days. I am not sure I will go next year...

As for the Arnold expo, I was there and I'm pretty sure whenever you get 20,000-30,000+ people all in the same room the ventilation won't be as good. If you walked outside of the expo area where the vendors and such were, it was cooler, but you also have to remember it was FREEZING outside and snowing. What was funny was seeing some people where sleeveless under armour shirts outside in the snow and walking around like it was nothing.

I am used to the Ohio winters. I think I wore pants only a handful of times this past winter, when temperatures dipped below, say, 23 degrees. Otherwise I just wore shorts and t-shirts to school, even though this involved being outdoors for much of the time.

Interesting. You would think that promoters would think "Well, I"m about to pack the place with a large group of men and women using compounds which cause sweating, who also will be gorging themselves with free foreign protein bars and drinks" and plan ahead a bit.

Have you ever been to the USA's in Vegas. They don't even use the A/C there I think. I have been twice and I swear it was at least 90+ degrees in the lobby. Everyone was sweating so bad.

I do event security and I do about 100 expos a year of all sorts even bbing and the temp is about the same for all. It is never been hot to me

The other thing you see at expos besides the sweating is the "fuck me" stares from all the sauced up chicks in the place...you can literally feel the horniness on all the fitness and bb chicks...
