Post by: Bluto on June 17, 2007, 01:01:01 PM
After his partner Tom Lone (Terry Chen) and family are killed apparently by the infamous and elusive assassin Rogue (Jet Li), FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) becomes obsessed with revenge as his world unravels into a vortex of guilt and betrayal. Rogue eventually resurfaces to settle a score of his own, igniting a bloody crime war between Asian mob rivals Chang (John Lone) of the Triad's and Yakuza boss Shiro (Ryo Ishibashi). When Jack and Rogue finally come face to face, the ultimate truth of their pasts will be revealed

War hits theaters on September 14.

I can see it now... style vs. brute force. Jason Statham is really underrated.
This should be good, ...especially coming from Lion's Gate. They have a knack for distibuting pure quality.

War has several successful elements:
Statham (Transporter movies)
Steve Chassman (exec. producer - Transporter movies)
Corey Yuen (fight choreographer – Transporter movies)

And oh, yea…
Jet Li.
 ;D

It’s good to see that Li hasn’t resigned himself from making “martial arts movies.” Around the time Fearless was released, I read an interview in which he said he was done with that genre.
