Why is it that all the squats and kickbacks that I do; I can not seem to slim down the inner thigh? My calves are developing nicely and my hams & quads are becoming more toned, but I can not seem to combat the inner thigh. I am sick of the rubbing. ???

Diet is the 2nd element to bodyFat composition manipulation...
Some of the guys on the steroid board are way better versed to help with that than I,

Try very high rep leg presses (15-25 range for 3 sets), lunges and the scissor machine. Hope this helps.

I go to the gym when there are no classes on, crank up the music and dance ballet. No thongs, no booze, nothing but exercise.

Laura;Didnt you have some real nice photos awhile back from a show?? You'r in great condit there, and that photo you said were "fat" ahwile back were not fat by average American standards.
Been to Wal-Mart Lately? God, ya cant fit thru a isle w/ them beasties that stock up there.
And the ones w/ a gut and a thong bustin out make me Gak! :-X :'(

Dancing is the easy part for me; I used to teach dance before I started my family. I dance now as my cardio and I walk with a group 3-4 miles 4 to 6 days a week. When I dance I usually dance for about an hour. I didn't think it was enough though?

Mimi, another thing you can do is to get out of bed in the morning without using your hands.
If you hoist yourself up using only your lower abs, you should be able to really strengthen the abdominal walls, and in conjunction with your cardio, should start seeing a 6 pack real soon.
When I had my waterbed, I had to really work the ab muscles just to sit up. I had a wicked 6 pack.
Sadly, ...that was X number of years ago, ...and they are slowly disappearing. :'(

What exercises do I do to focus on the quads? I didn't know that massage will reduce fat.

Front squats & all the others they's thrown out too..
Just pick a movement or 2 for each workout, switch it up, keeps the body guessing.

I'll get into this issue a little more when I put together a glute/leg training thread in the Women's BB section, but one thing for sure - DO NOT waste your time in the gym on those stupid abductor and adductor machines...you know, the "thigh master" machines.
The abductors and adductors are small muscles that can be worked sufficiently through compound and power exercises that work bigger muscles in the legs. Just by adjusting your foot position a little bit when squatting, or going deeper in your walking lunges, can burn the hell out of your inner and outer thigh. There is no need to spend your time in the gym sitting in the inner thigh or outer thigh crunch machine...you can get a lot more bang for your buck from bigger exercises that work the larger muscles in your lower body at the same time.

Okay; I always thought that compound movements were more productive then isolated movements. That makes sense if the muscle groupings are smaller.

Price & $z gets to be a issue. If you look for the Massage Schools in any big city, the students typicly give discount massages at times. 1/2 the going rate often. I also feel they tend to be the best/ most enthusiestic energy wise, its hard work. If ya find a good one, give 'em your Ph# and tell them your interested in having them work on the side..
