Yes, it's only an advertisement.

Right, but it lists the protein blend and a couple of the other ingredients.

 ::) ::)

Quote
MAXIMUS™ will quite simply be the most effective lean mass inducing weight gainer ever offered! // sure. ::)

MAXIMUS™ has a winning formula which will deliver the right mix of ingredients your body needs to pack on some serious muscle mass // no doubt about the 'winning formula'.... ::)

    * Over 600 lean mass promoting calories per serving // one serving = what? 400g?
    * 60 grams of our incredibly effective MAXIMUS™ protein matrix, allowing optimal protein retention! // WOW! the famous "MAXIMUS™ protein matrix". What is this, goat whey, elephant sperm and snake eggs? Dude, this has NO informational value at all.
    * Over 70 grams of high quality carbohydrates // See above.

Most companies would stop there, but not AtLarge Nutrition. MAXIMUS™ also includes the following performance increasing and health promoting ingredients at proven doses;  // ::) ::) ::)

    * 2g of Microlactin™ per serving! // ahhh, thanks
    * 6g of flaxseed oil per serving! // ok
    * 7g of inulin per serving! // ok

What does that mean for you? // Yes, really, what does that mean for me?

    * Dramatically reduced DOMS (Delayed onset muscle soreness)
    * Improved recovery time
    * Reduced joint pain // Ridiculous claim. Why that, because of the flaxseed oil?

As the name implies, MAXIMUS™ will help you to get HUGE!!! // Yeah sure.   ::) ::)

So do you have a full ingredients list, any studies to back up your statements, anything?

What studies would you like?

How about studies which verify a protein blend which contains both casein and whey is far superior to whey alone?  Oh, and our product adds to that mix milk protein isolates, glutamine peptides, and egg.

Would you like studies showing the efficacy of inulin?

I am sure we can find plenty of studies on flaxseed oil and its benefits?

How about a little bit about the anti-inflammatory properties of Microlactin(TM) (which results in reduced DOMS and improved recovery)?

"Small molecule mediators of inflammation from bovine immune milk

J.P. Fuhrer and colleagues (Stolle Milk Biologics, Cincinnati, Ohio) gave a fascinating presentation. If cows are immunised repeatedly with bacteria, their milk contains potent anti-inflammatory properties. A randomized, controlled, double-blind trial of immune cows’ milk compared to non-immune cows’ milk showed a 50% reduction in tender or swollen joint count and reduced pain in patients with RA. A potent anti-inflammatory protein of a molecular weight of 500 daltons has been isolated after heroic efforts. This anti-inflammatory peptide can be given orally, systemically, or by the transdermal route. It is non-toxic even at high doses, but the mechanism of action is not known. It will be interesting to see the final structure and sequence of this molecule as then it may very well be synthesised and large-scale clinical trials carried out."

Not me, or those that have tested our product.  Perhaps you have a sensitivity to it?

well, i did not say anything against this, but your "Maximus protein matrix" is BS for understanding what's in the product.

I want a complete ingredients list, simply stating things everybody knows and telling me "it's the best gainer in the world" does not make me buy this.

I mix whole milk, whey, falxseed oil and oatmeal and go very good and cheap with it. Your fishy ad doesn't convince me.

A lot of companies will simply send a sample packet of a particular product.  Do you do this, if not, you need to.

I really don't feel like spending $30 to try a product I might hate.  :-[

We did that for some time, but the shipping got expensive.  What I normally do (I do this individually) is tell someone who genuinely wants to try the products to order 1 jug and then request samples of the other products.  If they do not like the product they ordered, I refund them 100% of what they paid to include shipping.  It makes it a no-risk proposition for them.
