Title: Antyone else having doubts about the new "Die Hard" flick?

  The biggest concern for me is the PG-13 rating--which, as you'll notice, is never "announced" by the narrator of its television trailers for some strange reason. The makers obviously wanna put asses in seats, but they were doing that just fine with the previous installments, all of which were R-rated. Why try to dumb down one of the best action characters in cinema history? And why team Willis up with an inept actor like Justin Long?

It seems to fit in with the general trend of making movies w/ characters who are embedded in our cultural psyche. It doesn't even seem realistic. They basically aren't movies they are just vehicles to show how cool these characters are. I think it's depressing that the same guys who did action films in the 80's are still carrying the torch. It's lame as fuck

Exactly! I think the rating will hinder the franchise.

Keep in mind that what was an R rating in 1990 is easily a PG13 today.  I'm praying it will live up to the series but I have my doubts.

very true. Imagine some of Arnold's movies coming out today, they would not even make it to the theaters for the gruesome content.

Also I never knew Mcclain knew how to fly a jet?

Also the name is a little fagish Live free or die hard
