dude was one hell of a relief pitcher, 51 saves one season, had some drug problems, way too young to go.

Sad story. He was one hell of a character and a pretty damn good pitcher in his time. It seems everyone loved him too.
He spent a few years with the Sox at the end of his career. He was old school, something the league could use more of.
