We don't have the 'hip hop' thing here so I really have no idea, but from what I see of it on TV etc...I wouldn't disagree in general. Again, I could be talking total crap as we definitely don't have the 'heavy metal/rock' thing here, but from what I see of it that it seems the same would apply. I think all groupies of musicians of any genre/athletes of any kind or 'bad boy' lovers probably aren't the most classy women in general, although I am sure exceptions apply.

I grew up in a town that was littered with n*****s and po' white trash.
I did the best I could for them, but they kept multiplying.

I dated a Jamaican tennis player whose family was fairly well-off, but who also rejected almost anything that was perceived as being 'of Black America'. Now, I'm not saying that they didn't have an appreciation of jazz or Black theater, etc., but they definitely seemed to hold a 'White is right' mentality.
That said, I admired their work ethic, but they verbalized many times how Black Americans - in general - are not respected by folks from the Caribbean.

Again, cultural. Many of us [white or black West Indians] don't like certain aspects of American culture, not in an offensive manner but simply as we are not used to it. Like I do not want to go to some closed up smokey nightclub and hear rap all night, as parties here are often set on a tropical beach with reggae blaring to the background of the ocean waves. I am *not* being a racist, I just am used to my own culture. So it may be perceived as race related, but is more cultural in most cases, always an exception though.
The only thing that I am really aware of that we think differently of black Americans, is the whole Uncle Tom issue. If anything would lose respect, it would be that...the Tom issue, which we find to be far more prevalent amongst Americans.

Although, women in general who are attracted to the "thug" life style, tend to have no real excitement in their own lives, plus many of the dudes have severe mother issues ( with my job, I come in contact with "thugs", "bad boys", or the biggest Momma's Boys ever known), I have and other black people (most notably angry black women) noticed that white women, when they date black men, either they go for the thugs, or the Assimmulated Poindexters (Steve Urkels), generally the former and not the latter. And the white women tend to be trashy or not as attractive or have a low self esteem that they wear as a badge, that is not say all, but the ones that I have seen.

The reason why I brought up the race thing is because sooner or later a getbig member was going to bring it up. A getbig member would have said that its to be expected of black men to treat white women bad, black men are nothing but trash etc...there have been getbig members who are already vocal about it. Trust me on this because I have had a few getbig members send me a personal message thanking me for talking about this because they have been flamed in the past for being vocal on the subject.
Being a "man of color" I wanted to give my own points of view to those getbig members who think all black men think the same and act the same.
It is already a race issue. A lot of people especially the black women at my work are talking about it...a guy I work with who is in the military who claims he is not a racist told me this is why he doesn't let his daughters date outside his "race"...because he believes most black men are trash and he personally believes it is very rare to actually find a black person who has honor. I believe people stereotype too much based on what they see on TV and because of certain insecurities...
I truly believe that people do know what's right from wrong and its an intrinsic quality we all have. I also believe that people are actually good people deep down....but some just have their own definitions of what "being good is".
There were a lot of things I didn't bring up because I feel I have talked about those issues on past posts. Why post it again and again and make the post longer by repeating yourself?

I "consider" myself black (face it the world sees me as black because of the color of my skin) and if you really knew me you would kind of understand a little bit where I am coming from. I am a literal black sheep of the family. My father is Puerto Rican and looks nothing at all like an African American. He actually looks somewhat like Kevin Levrone when he was younger. My father told me that his great great grandmother was dark as I am so its actually passed in the genes. My mother is Filipino. Many people had a hard time believing that my mother is my mother or my father is my father as my siblings are my siblings. I was always accused of being the adopted one. I had to deal with that a lot growing up. Out of all my siblings, I am the only one that came out "dark-skinned". I come from a family that is so ethnically and racially diverse but the actual culture I was brought up in is a mixture of Latino and Asian culture. When I visited my relatives in New York...its the "latino culture" they practice. When I visit my relatives in Asia, it’s the Filipino culture they practice. You talk about "the black side" of my family....although I have African American blood in me due to my Puerto Rican heritage, I don’t know anyone from the "black side" of my family. Does this sound confusing?
If you were to come with me to a family get together, you would see I have realtives in every race or culture..white, asian, latino but Id probably be the only "black" person there...the upside of it is is I believe in my heart that I could never be racist or be preferential to any "race". I treat people with respect regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, or social status.
Hence that is the reason why people have treated me different due to the color of my skin. Its based on stereotyping and assuming they "know" me because of the color of my skin...black people, white people, asian people all do it. They just don’t know any better I guess. But I said in past post that out of any other race, I faced more persecution from the black race. I said this all out of experience.
I deal with a lot of people that ask me "what I am". Sometimes I don’t tell people. If I told people I'm more Asian than anything, they will just laugh and ridicule me and call me a liar. I'm tired of having to prove what I am so I don’t say anything more. It got me into too many fights and the other person with broken bones or jaws. I'm tired of violence...
Ok, this is just an example Parker..I don’t know you but lets say that I meet you and you have almond shaped eyes and I "assume" you are Asian or have some Asian in you and you have the last name of Wang so I really assume you are Asian. I tell you, you should connect with the Asian side of you. You tell me you aren't Asian...see I was ignorant to know that Wang can be Norwegian too....people judge on the outside without really knowing who that person is.

Cutts is the father of Nikki's nine-year-old daughter, and he has two other kids. In 1998, Giavasis was at home with former NBA star Shawn Kemp, when Cutts allegedly tried to break in.
Here's the crazy link: Giavasis was also featured in Wrestlemania XX, the WWE showcase that was won by none other than Benoit. Nikki was part of the WWE "Hot Team."
Giavasis' other credits include a starring role in the instructional video, "Becoming a Pro Cheer Leader" [sic] and appearances on reality series "The Casino" and ProActiv spots. She also claims in her bio that she has a genius-level IQ.

The reason why I brought up the race thing is because sooner or later a getbig member was going to bring it up. A getbig member would have said that its to be expected of black men to treat white women bad, black men are nothing but trash etc...there have been getbig members who are already vocal about it. Trust me on this because I have had a few getbig members send me a personal message thanking me for talking about this because they have been flamed in the past for being vocal on the subject.
Being a "man of color" I wanted to give my own points of view to those getbig members who think all black men think the same and act the same.
It is already a race issue. A lot of people especially the black women at my work are talking about it...a guy I work with who is in the military who claims he is not a racist told me this is why he doesn't let his daughters date outside his "race"...because he believes most black men are trash and he personally believes it is very rare to actually find a black person who has honor. I believe people stereotype too much based on what they see on TV and because of certain insecurities...
I truly believe that people do know what's right from wrong and its an intrinsic quality we all have. I also believe that people are actually good people deep down....but some just have their own definitions of what "being good is".
There were a lot of things I didn't bring up because I feel I have talked about those issues on past posts. Why post it again and again and make the post longer by repeating yourself?
You are right we have scum of the Earth regardless of race....but what I personally believe is Bobby Cutts is a player. Manipulates women just like Scott Peterson did. When I mention that music, athletes, the media influencing people, I truly believe that...but its the actual person who has got to decide if he wants to be influenced by that crap or not...
I "consider" myself black (face it the world sees me as black because of the color of my skin) and if you really knew me you would kind of understand a little bit where I am coming from. I am a literal black sheep of the family. My father is Puerto Rican and looks nothing at all like an African American. He actually looks somewhat like Kevin Levrone when he was younger. My father told me that his great great grandmother was dark as I am so its actually passed in the genes. My mother is Filipino. Many people had a hard time believing that my mother is my mother or my father is my father as my siblings are my siblings. I was always accused of being the adopted one. I had to deal with that a lot growing up. Out of all my siblings, I am the only one that came out "dark-skinned". I come from a family that is so ethnically and racially diverse but the actual culture I was brought up in is a mixture of Latino and Asian culture. When I visited my relatives in New York...its the "latino culture" they practice. When I visit my relatives in Asia, it’s the Filipino culture they practice. You talk about "the black side" of my family....although I have African American blood in me due to my Puerto Rican heritage, I don’t know anyone from the "black side" of my family. Does this sound confusing?
If you were to come with me to a family get together, you would see I have realtives in every race or culture..white, asian, latino but Id probably be the only "black" person there...the upside of it is is I believe in my heart that I could never be racist or be preferential to any "race". I treat people with respect regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, or social status.
Hence that is the reason why people have treated me different due to the color of my skin. Its based on stereotyping and assuming they "know" me because of the color of my skin...black people, white people, asian people all do it. They just don’t know any better I guess. But I said in past post that out of any other race, I faced more persecution from the black race. I said this all out of experience.
I deal with a lot of people that ask me "what I am". Sometimes I don’t tell people. If I told people I'm more Asian than anything, they will just laugh and ridicule me and call me a liar. I'm tired of having to prove what I am so I don’t say anything more. It got me into too many fights and the other person with broken bones or jaws. I'm tired of violence...
Ok, this is just an example Parker..I don’t know you but lets say that I meet you and you have almond shaped eyes and I "assume" you are Asian or have some Asian in you and you have the last name of Wang so I really assume you are Asian. I tell you, you should connect with the Asian side of you. You tell me you aren't Asian...see I was ignorant to know that Wang can be Norwegian too....people judge on the outside without really knowing who that person is.
I am at fault for that too...
