Muscletech gave Dexter the boot. Goes to MET-RX (the only supplement that provides his needs) ::) and goes crying back to Muscletech to join the bandwagon.
Does that about sum it up? :)
-
he needed that massive 1800 bucks a month salary he was making.

Really, is at all. I would have thought they would pay them at least 50K a year. At least. I could be wrong though.

hahahaha, hell no, 1800 may be aunderestimating but i'll gaurantee you it's not anymore than 2500 or 3000 a month but it's nowhere near 50K.

50k a year?? C'mon they have to at least make enough for their gear so they can say they gained 30 pounds of muscle from Anator or Anavator whatever the fuck it's called

Poor Dex, slin belly is starting to poke out...

ya at least that.
i know a lesser known pro with a shitty company that makes like 40k so i imagine dexter is making a couple 100k if i had to imagine
jay might to in the million range
-
jay makes 100 mil a year - and that's just what he reports to the IRS.

hahahahahahahahahahaaa, yeah right ::) Ronnie's deal with BSN is supposedly the biggest in the history of the business and it's only 1 million for 2 years.

Dex makes around 100k dude.
-
Dex makes around 100k dude.
yeah maybe with everything combined, i'll give you that, but probably not from Muscletech alone.
-
For how many more years is he gonna be making that money that he's spending on cars and plasma tvs? 5, 7?
How's he gonna make a living after that?
-

No not with everything combined. Lee Priest mention he was making around 80k with twinlab awhile ago. You think Lee is an liar?
-

hahahahahaa, exactly, in the BFTO video he says he spent 12,000 bucks on a plasma TV. ::)

If he has already paid for his house, cars, etc then why not? If you have the money then go for it.

epic black thinking.

epic black thinking.
Minus the part about having paid off the house and cars first of course.

hahaha, exactly, you can't save money for little things like a house or retirement fund when you're buying 24 inch spinners for your 1993 Ford Taurus. ;D

Muscletech has an abundance of amateurs under contract that nobody really knows and if you turn pro while you are with them, you immediately start getting $2,000/month. That's the rate for everyone that's a rookie. Dexter is probably getting $4,000-$5,000/month plus a grand here and there for Muscletech appearances. That's pretty good money, but like others have stated..... when this is over what are these guys gonna do?
If I turn pro, my plan would be to stay in school while living off a few thousand dollars per month. That way when I'm done competing I have set myself up to be successful in another aspect of life. Hopefully these guys are saving some of their money also and investing it. Other than Jay and maybe Ronnie, I doubt many are though.

those are almost exactly the figures i stated.
-
The smart guys are like Lee Labrada and Rich Gaspari. Instead of living glamorously in their competitive days he managed their money started leading supp. companies and today they are living well as I'm sure millionaires or very close.

jay makes 100 mil a year - and that's just what he reports to the IRS.

you were very close indeed

You think Lee is an liar?
Does a bear shit in the woods?!?!
Lee may keep it real, or just joke...however he wants to spin it to say he's not lying. But by definition, lying is just not telling what really happened. He lied when he was PM'ing Chick about wanting back into the IFBB, then said C ya! and a few weeks ago rumor was he wanted to be re-instated again. So, just a joke? Done many times over?
Who knows, but, Lee can certainly be considered to lie about certain things, and keep it real in regards to others.

Well, well over that.....
-
dex is one of the top BBers in the world, and has been for 5 years.
dex makes a very good living. My guess would be 150 to 250k.
some of the contracts are actually pretty good.
-
It hurts Squadfather feelings that a black man makes more money then he does. 8)
-
hahahahahaa, exactly, in the BFTO video he says he spent 12,000 bucks on a plasma TV. ::)
lol and he goes to cash advance shops to get by till olympia paycheck which covers his gear money for the year lol
-
Gh15 would know, someone ask him..
-
its called Anavar or anadrol
Muscle Tech has Anator and Aplodan, it's better then real steroids!!!

All jokes aside Sarc, you would be surprised what they pay them. I am speaking from a factual standpoint, not speculating fyi. They also get perks, per diems when they travel to make appearences, bonuses for winning shows etc.
It's easy for us, and many others on the board, to negate the importance of the sponsor value....but don't forget the immense number of morons out there who *actually* believe the ads, that Dexter gets his conditioning from a bottle of Hydroxycut ::)

that made me laugh. only 1 million for 2 years. i wish i got only 1 million for 2 years.

I recall reading in an old issue of MuscleMag (I'll have to look to find out which one) that Jeff Long claimed he made $100,000 when he worked for ProLab. But, he also had a desk job (I believe he was one of the company's sales managers). But, Long did state that he didn't think it was fair that Lee Priest made around $70K-$80K a year, merely making guest appearances, while he did the same (in addition to competing and his desk job).

S.F. you know I think you're solid, but man he got you on that one.
-

think about it like this Ronnie is one of the top 2-3 guys in his "sport" and his 1 million dollar contract is the biggest in history then looks what the top guy in the NFL, NBA, MLB, Nascar, NHL, PGA etc. make on endorsements.
-
I thought this thread said "So dexter jackson is black"....fooled me

Oh brother another white man keeping the brother down post.......again....haha just kidding with you MC

I don't think Long did quite as well on the competitive stage as Priest, which might explain his having to work like a mule for that 100K salary.

impossible, blacks don't work.

so you cant see a two time arnold classic champ making perhaps 100-200k off hes contract while the mister olympia is making 2.5 times that?
seems rational, you think ronnie is the only one that makes some money?
1-2k is reasonable
-
I would think the one who rakes in more money is the one who is most popular.
-

to compare priest or dex to long is like to compare apples to ananas,,both dex and priest are top 6 bodybuilders in the world and make very very good living,,no it doesnt mean they are millioners and billioners but make sure they got enough to waist on whatever they feel like,,
if they didnt make good money no one would,,they are the face of bodybuilding as of last 10-15 years along with ron jason and couple others ;)

100 mil a year? are you sure about this?
LOL no possible way.
-
epic black thinking.
couldn't have said it better....black rich
-
epic black thinking BTW.
More like epic silliness on your part.
I already stated that Priest did better on the pro circuit (placings wise) than Long, which would explain why Long had to not do guest appearances for Prolab, like Priest, but also had his desk job as a sales manager to make his $100,000 salary.
