Title: doing 1 hour of cardio is = an extra 2 days of living in my opinion when all fac
Post by: Marty Champions on July 07, 2007, 01:58:56 PM
when all factors are weighd out..

for example take an obese or overweight person make them do one hour of jogging or stair master per day everyday watch them shed pounds like crazy and probably drop 20 pounds off the bat in weeks. eventually they get down to normal size then cardio is simply a tool of maintenance at a healthy bodyfat unclogged arteries ect. more muscle lower bodyfat

but if that person didnt do that they would carry that excess weight for years and years taxing there body with inactivity and clogged up arteries less muscle higher bodyfat

as you can see its more than a 2 fold advantage to do the cardio and everyday of commiting to 1 hour may seem like a CHORE but its worth adding 2 days to your life everyday you do some BRUTAL cardio

even if they got down to healthy bodyfat levels if they were to take a week or two off they would gain some weight back on the rebound any excess weight gain is like taking days off of your life, this is why they must keep at it EVERYDAY if they want to add years to their life

if someone were to do cardio everyday 365 days a year they would add 2 years to there life ATLEAST compared to someone inactive and getting fat!

so as you can see all of this adds up IN THE END prolonging the point to your inevitable DEATH.

doing cardio for 20 years straight 1hour just may very well add 40 years to your life!

just look at all the fat asses living only to 55 or so. hell my grandad couldve lived alot longer if he took care of himself.

these fat asses dieing at 55 could live a MUCH higher quality life PLUS 40 extra years! if they did cardio for 20 years straight every day they could live to 95 wich is a very good age and beyond

even that 15% bodyfat you may carry could be turned into an extra 5-10 years you can live

all old centenarians all have one thing in common LOW TRIGLICERIDES

i can't figure out why someone would write a novel of a post if they are just trying to be funny

so that just makes me have to concluded that DW is actually serious about what he writes

You don't need brutal cardio to be healthy, I walk for an hour (about 5-6 miles) 3-4 days per week along with my weight training, that's all a person should need to help keep fat down and off (depending on diet).

I'm still shocked...this will have major implications...I can envision people running and cycling, training in indoor facilities, playing soccer and tennis.......it's a grand vision!

DW is the almighty in his own mind seeing as how he spends so much time typing up long posts informing us that cardiovascular activity is actually good for us...Please don't stop capitan obvious he might go into coma from lack of educating us all on his new discoveries in nutrition and anaerobic/aerobic exercises.... ::)

I think short but really intense cardio sessions are better, keeps your metabolism elevated for a longer period of time after you have actually finished. I like going all out for 20mins and after that I need another 20mins just to recover.

We was young and we was dumb but we had heart, would the cardio and low LDL levels help us survive through the bad parts?   :-X

Pretty sure cardio won't unclog arteries.  Once the plaque and crap has built up in the arteries you can't get it out without surgery.
