True Conservatives would keep religion OUT of government. The definition of conservative: "marked by moderation or caution"
Clearly it's more cautious to keep religion out to not exclude those in the governed body.
Republicans are the real 'liberals'.

GWB won't secure our borders instead he wants to erase them both, he's draining the Treasury, he doesn't support the Constitution and Bill of rights that have served us so well for so long... those are just three of the thousand reasons he's sure as hell not a Conservative...

Yeah we have super libs...dems and less lib....Repubs. Actually the Repubs are just weak. They don't support their base once they get into Congress. While there are plenty of Conservatives floating around..most couldn't be bothered running for office. Bush is not a Conservative..he's grown the government adn hasn't cut a single social program. His no child left behind is a disaster because kids study for tests instead of learning. Schools loose money if the kids do poorly...and its those areas that need education, that do crappy. That idiot Rumsfeld wouldn't allow a bigger military so he could buy shiny new aircraft instead of cheap IED proof vehiclesand new rifles and pistols. The Dems wouldn't have been any better. Gore and Kerry are idots as well.

A classic liberal believe in a small goverment with free trading.
So in essence, in this part, the Republicans is actually more Liberal than the Democrats.
But to a Liberal, the individual freedom is also essential. Meaning the right to decide over your own body (freedom of abortion) and a secular society is important. In these areas, the Democrats are more Liberal than the Republicans.
It's ironic to hear Limbaugh bash "Libs". Like "Liberal" would equal big government... ::)

It's scary that so many consider Limbaugh a knowledgeable source of information.

Its not his job to provide hard information...he entertains and has some truth. Some folks take it as fact. I listen occasionally as I sway that why more then anything. I like Michael Savage. He gets fired up and there's no stopping him.
