I had a discussion about this with some friends the other day
we could think of only a select few that definitely fit this category: Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, the Beatles
who else?
-
U2
chili peppers
beatles
stones
my morning jacket
tom petty and the heartbreakers
the who
queen
led zeppelin (though not the last few albums)
Huge bands that got WORSE/getting worse with longevity:
Pearl Jam
Oasis (although their most recent was pretty good)
dave matthews band
Muse (their newest album is eh...)
bands that never change(d) nor will they ever change:
Rage
Soundgarden
Incubus
The killers
-
"bands" (can we say artists?) who re-incarnated:
Prince
Madonna...
I think U2 were crap after their first effort. Joshua Tree. After that success went to his head. Bono bugs me.

Stones, okay
The Beatles died.
Loved the Travelling Wilburys.
& that Highwayman song/vid did my head in. LOVED IT>
who else...
