digging through an old md the other day I found this gem from Dillet in 2003,
"Here we are, a year later, and I can tell you right now I have the biggest contract in bodybuilding history. My conract is a five-year deal for $4.2 million dollars."
this is when he wasnt even competing. He goes on to say he's not just a spokesman but has a powerfull executive posistion in the company. the company was NHF.
whatever happened to this company and their association with DIllet??
wasnt it revealed that it wasnt really that much money, it was candadian dollars or something??
-
I could have gotten him more

Paul Dillett signed a Weider contract staight out of the gym. He had never once competed, even as an amateur!
That's far more impressive than any amount of money

Since he has millions in the bank, he must be doing it for the love of bouncing ;D
-
$4.2 million. ;D ;D
Why not just say $500 billion.
-
In Musclemag a couple of months ago he wrote a column about how rich he became off bodybuilding.
-
I'm not saying Paul ever made close to 4.2 million, but is it so hard to believe some people do very well financially in bodyuilding? People act like every top guy makes a janitor's salary.

The top 5-10 do pretty well. Outside of the top 10, I would say janitors do better actually.
-
I think it has a lot to do with your marketability. If you're not a top 5-10 guy but are marketable you can make good living. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong.
-
Don't some amateurs have endorsement contracts. I think Lionel Brown signed with MuscleTech right before he turned pro. Chris Cook had a lot of endorsements when he was an amateur.
-

Translation= he got a contract fo 1000 a month to write a column and now works G4P and as a bouncer while selling gear on the side to make ends meet.....

It's funny because I would bet on it being true.

We have a saying where I come from: an empty barrel makes the most noise.
-
this not so impressive :-\
woah...
does anyone else notice how in the first pic his lats seem to insert at his waist, then his later pics (especially the back shot) the lats seem incredibly high?
it's like in the following pics he has the back genetics of dexter and dennis (both dennis's)
-
More like $4200 ;D
-
I wonder if Muscletech dumped him after his poor showing at the Montreal show last year? He supposedly had a 1yr deal for 100,000.
PB
-
4.2 mil pesos.
-
I'm not a fan of Bob Chicherillo, but he rightfully called out Paul Dimwit for this ridiculous claim not too long after Paul made it. Yeah--you'd been long out of action for years and some upstart supplement company comes along and drops more money into your account than the top 5 guys at the Mr. O make in a year? Yip, makes perfect sense to me.
-
You know, he could have just claimed hundreds of thousands, and we would have given him the benefit of some doubt. But, millions! In bbing? ::)

Some pros make good money, but few know how to handle it. Just look at the Battle for the Olympia videos and the pros showing off there fancy cars...and that's all they care about.

Gotta be comfortable on the way to and from the gym...What you didn't read that in the IFBB guidelines of requirements for the Pros???

Some of you guys actually believe signing a Weider or Muscle Tech contract is the equivalent of signing a contract with Coke or Nike.
The Delusion of bodybuilders never ceases to amaze me! :o
-
All hype. Bah!
Doom disapproves.
-
Paul Dillet invested that 4.2 million very wisely.
He owns a lot of real estate in Canada, and has been living off that while completing his PhD.
Props to Paul.
-
I'd have to throw Paul and Chris C. in the same category...lot's of potential...but lazy and not much drive.
-
Paul used to make so much cash in bodybuilding that hey had to share an apartment with Lee Priest. Two beds, one bath, big pimping.
-
4.2 million for this?
