Leisure centres banned from lending rubber rings and armbands to swimmers
A council has banned its leisure centres from lending rubber rings and armbands to swimmers amid health and safety fears.
Blowing up the inflatables by mouth is considered too risky for spreading germs and unseen punctures might lead to an accident.
Bournemouth Borough Council in Dorset has imposed the ban following professional guidelines from The Institute of Sport and Recreation Management.

It's wild isn't it? I was speaking with my cousin in London yesterday morning, ...and there's really a concern that the water will rise above the bridges over the Thames. I was watching footage of it and it's wild, ...only a few more inches and it will. ...Meanwhile in Romania, and Hungary, the temperature is reaching a scorching 48 degrees celcius. I've only ever heard it getting that hot in India.

Today they're saying it's not global warming, it's something to do with the gulf stream currents.
whatever.
London is okay. Most of the rest of the country is not.
It didn't rain yesterday here and today it's just a drizzle. Also it's windy and chilly.
No sun

Forest fires in southern Italy and 49celcius in Athens.

Today they're saying it's not global warming,
& two days ago, there was a joke going around that we should blame the Russians for the weather.
I had to laugh.

Linda, those boots remind me of when I was a little girl.
We used to wear boots like that with little rubber duckies on the side.
Then I turned 7 yrs. old, ...and was waaaaay too cool to ever be seen in a pair of those ...dead or alive.
Now I'm thinking they're kind of cute again. I like the one with the water droplets. The leafs are kinda neat too
but you have to co-ordinate them with the right outfit to really make it work.
I guess we'll just have to go on a mad shopping spree and buy a whole bunch of new clothes? Who's in?

The Gulfstream currents are affected by climate change.

I wouldn't know? I wouldn't get within 10 miles of Al-G's pool. He'd probably drown me. (He doesn't like cats) :o

Would you be snorting Wasabi to clear up that sinus congestion,
...or have you found something else that works just as well?

Linda,
Do you know whether Newmarket in Suffolk is flooded? I'm really concerned.
One of my 1st level distributors over there has pretty much dropped off the face of the earth.
He hasn't signed on online in days, and one of his 1st level distributors in Cote D'Ivoire wants to enroll 2 new people, ...and we can't find the guy at all.

It didn't flood (badly) in London...
Judi, that was perhaps a new movie that just came out that you saw?
THIS IS ONLY A PRETEND THING, OKAY, (photo below)
IT'S COMPUTER GENERATED, IT'S WHAT COULD HAPPEN!
Luckily it did not.

Newmarket in Suffolk is flooded? I'm really concerned.
All or most of the eastern counties were okay, they escaped the worst of it
(that weather came in from the Atlantic).
The mobile (cell to you) phone and/or land lines & the internet were unaffected, nationwide.
so I can't imagine why he's not answering your call.
Perhaps he's on holiday? We have this thing called silly season in England. It lasts from about now till September. It just means that if you try to 'phone anyone, they're on leave, out of town, away...
Gone fishing?
or at that mad pool party in ....
