I picked it up. It contains peanuts and a natural oil blend of flaxseed and palm fruit oils.
CALS- 200g
FAT- 17g (2.5 sat., 2 poly, 12 mono)
CARB- 6g
FIBER- 2g
1.3:1 ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3, only 1g of sugar
Interesting concept, nice taste, has anyone tried it? other thoughts?

In an effort to stimulate conversation, let me be more direct with a question about this product:
if natural peanut butter already has healthy and beneficial fats, is there any value to a product which has an appeal solely based upon adding healthy fats to natural peanut butter?
-
I haven't tried it. How much does it cost in comparison to "regular" peanut butter.

I doubt the amt of added fat (flax & palm) could be considered "beneficial" in the avg amt a person is going to eat. Not to mention - remember what we want from an Omega 3 - EPA & DHA which flax does not have. It has ALA, which is fine, but remember the whole conversion process thing... Molasses as a sweetener - fine - it's still sugar tho. If you like it better than regular natty PB, go for it. IMO it's not BETTER or worse.

I did try it once, but wasn't crazy enough about the taste to justify the extra cost - $3.49 vs $2.09

I agree with your analysis, not better or worse. Molasses is sugar, which probably escapes notice for the uninitiated. Overall sugar content (1g) is not too bad

You know if you mix the oil in when you first open natty PB and keep it in the fridge, you don't have to do it again right? It should be kept in the fridge anyway since it has no preservatives.
