Title: Jesse Marunde passed away
Post by: Stubborn on July 26, 2007, 05:40:32 PM
He was doing light training for the upcoming WSM and laid out on the floor disoriented with labored breathing. His training crew did CPR and he was defibbed and given epi but nothing could be done.

Jesse was a great strongman and for his contributions to the sport he will never be forgotten.

He was only 27. What could be the reason for this?

Thanks for the pics, SF.

Even though I never met him face to face, I still feel very badly about all this.

He has always been helpful to me and many others.

Its crazy! I watch old WSM all the time and everytime I see him I just cant believe it. He was strong and healthy and just a good person. His death has definately inspired a new generation of American strongmen to step their game up in attempt to make up for his absence. I think Jesse would be proud and suprised of the impact he left on his world.
