I was actually turned on to this by a guy in my office.  Anyway after watching the DVD I thought I would give it a shot.  I can only say that is works.  To make a long story short I find a atm reciept that a dude left at the atm.  I noticed it becuase it has $22,597 in the account.  Anyway I put it up on my board(you'll figure out what this is if you watch it) about 2 months later my commision check is $22,500....BOOM  after that I was sold.  It really is great a lot of people at my office love it and live buy it.  Though as with everything you get out what you put in.  I would forgo the book (who really knows how to read anyway)and get the DVD.  My local Hollywood video has it for rent!!!  Just keep an open mind.  Though you negative types just might find it some positive uplifting bullshit

The video you have requested is not available.

If you have recently uploaded this video, you may need to wait a few minutes for the video to process.

i found a page where you can watch the whole damn thing for free.

what is the best technique you re using. as far as i understood the following:

1 think of what you want
2 visualise it
3 believe that you can have it
4 act like you got it already
5 take action that brings yo closer to it

i dont know why the link aint working, jus tgo to youtube type: the secet law of attraction, it can change your life for the better. einstein and all the great ones knew about this, its basically believing in yourself that you can achieve it, if you believe it its possible, if you think you ll never be a millionaire, forget it it will never happen.

I have the dvd. Very interesting stuff.

In point of fact, however, it is not a new concept it has been around for years and years. They just put together a tape and a fancy name.

check the bus. and info. board here on getbig. most of the topics are on books and courses along these lines, particularly posts by jaguarenterprises. yes Think and Grow Rich is along the same lines. seems like people either strongly believe in these theories or strongly disagree. those who believe tend to really benefit.

Thank you for the link!  I didn't realize that the "secret" was that much of a bunch of shit.  Thanks again.

so albert einstein, shakespeare, martin luther king, oprah, tony robbins are all bullshit and dumb, and you re the smart one?? they all applied the secret in their life, its not just that if you sit at home and think of things you will get rich, its about that you have belief that you re able to achieve things that you want, when you start realizing that, the posibilities are endless. If you go to the casino and vizualise that you will winn and all, it wont happen either, gambling is a negative vibe. if you have belief in something you will take action, and achieve it, if you think that you cant do it, you wil never get the vibe that will send you in the direction of it. i have a link to a page to seet he dvd, if somebody is interested.

anthony robbins changed my life, he also seems to use the same principles teached in the secret.

I use anthony's principles everyday.  Same with napolean hill.  People don't understand that you have to actually put action, and lots of it behind the faith and ideas you have.  What you want has to become an obsession!  Meaning everday and everynight 365days a year.  Not just daydream and recieve.

I will speak on this, so hopefully it will be of benefit to at least one person that reads these boards.

I have changed many things about myself, including the way I think which I attribute mainly towards the principles I have learned from "The Secret" and Napoleon Hill's Master-Key to Riches.  I have watched the entire video 5-6 times, I have watched certain parts of it as many as 30-40 times.

The Secret, does a very good job of explaining it, although they do add in a bunch of mysticism.

I started about 9 months ago, as I was driving my beat up 99 Honda Accord I would visualize, and feel that I was driving a luxury car, and on my way to an important business deal - even though I was only going to the grocery store.  I had a take home pay of about 3,300 per month.

As for what I have now:

- I own a Porsche Cayman S
- I have over 8,100 per month in passive income, plus my job income of 3,300.
- I can quit my job anytime I want (I'm 27 years old)
- My father is retiring in november (5 years early)
- I am free and happy, grateful for everything that I have

Keep in mind that I read many many books, from many authors, and I am constanting learning.  I have quite a few friends that are multi millionaires (8 & 9 figures) and even more that don't have to work for a living.  Once you start to rub shoulders with these types of people and they let you into their group, you will see that it is all about your mindset, and very little to do with chance, or snagging a good deal.

Some key principles to remember:

1. Money does not exist, it is just a concept (like math).  Money is the result of creating value for another.  Stop trying to make "money" and starting thinking about how you can create value for others.

2. People are assets, things are not.

3. Perspective determines action - As you learn, you WILL see things (with your mind) that others cannot.

4. You do not see the world as it is, you see it as you are.  Live in a world of scarcity and you will have it, but choose to live in a world of abundance, and you will see that there is more than enough for everyone.

5. Know that you are 100% responsible for where you are in life, no matter what bad things may have happened to you.  Until you can take responsibility for everything (I know it can be very tough), you will still be living in a world of chance and waiting in line for your lottery ticket.

Very good post.  If I could explain everything I got from following these principles, I would get hated in seconds.  But I agree with you, everything is how you look and act towards it.  Including success and failure.

thats right my man, very inspirationalposts high value. Its not all about the money ofcourse, its all about growing a character like you explained, enjoying the process. My biggest drive for making big moneyis to help my family and people around me. thats why i started this thread, we all have a powerful mind, but people forget to use it. Its all about contributing to others and ofcourse for yourself, lets face it everybody loves luxury. you can become a millionaire with just 50 bucks, thats the fucking truth.Learn how to invest the money, leave some money aside for investments and dont touch it, the more you have to invest the more you will grow. Life is fullof insecurities, remember folks, the more ncesucity your willing to take, will decide your quality of life.

How fucking shallow can you be to think the universe revolves around owning expensive items.

yes, it bothers em too that they talk about money too much. but you can use the technique's in all sorts of problems.

about the starving people: the starving people pity them selves that they re hungry, they ve given up mentally. if you visualise, you will take action. if they visualise hard enough, maybe they would put a little bit more effort in finding food. go to the jungle or forest, find some fruit, go hunting. the visualisation will give you motivation to do something about your problems, thats all it is. if you feel sorry for yourself you wont get shit.

They make lots of claims and yet provide no evidence(from what I have seen).  Not surprisingly, this doesn't seem to bother the majority of people.  For example, when they say that it is no coincidence that the people with the most illness are the ones that are always thinking about being sick are, they could have provided some sort of statistical numbers or something or the sort.  Or they could have conducted studies to back up their claim.  I am sure they knew most people don't appreciate this method though and tend to believe everything they hear.

The Secret really works. I've never applied it to business, but I did use it to pick up chicks. It's the same principle. What you put out there comes back to you.

I was in a slump, having broken up with a psycho ex-girlfriend (I know every getbigger can relate!) and feeling a bit out of rhythm with my rap. So instead of forcing it, I just started kickin' it to every girl who made eye contact with me. Ugly chicks, fat chicks, handicapped chicks, you name it, I was firing it up to every smile that looked my way. I even started banging a few really sweet but ugly girls just to put that good karma out there. Sure enough, the tide started to turn.

Before I knew it, things were strange because I was gunning from one chick's place to another at 3 am for booty calls and the girls getting my attention were getting better and better looking. Before I knew it, I was hanging out on Park Avenue by Wilhemina and Elite Modeling agencies, picking up and plowing some of the hottest models on earth with the exact same rap I was using weeks earlier on some of the planet's fugliest chicks. It was kinda sad dumping all those really sweet but ugly girls, but sure enough, the bad karma came back to bite me on the ass. Every time I'd come up with an excuse for why I couldn't bang fat Beth on the Upper East Side, I'd get nixed by one of the models.

Eventually I realized that The Secret requires BALANCE. I finally learned that I needed to keep an equal number of 1s and 2s in my bed for every 8 or 9.  Without the Secret, I'd never have banged so many ugly girls, but Jesus says a man can be measured by his charitable contributions, so I'm going to Heaven fer sure!
Title: Re: The secret / law of attraction

Of course a positive mindset will help you in life. It very well may even help you overcome a disease quicker or even keep you from getting sick. This is no secret though, this is common knowledge. It is also common knowledge that some of the most positive women will still get breast cancer. It's in their genes and they were screwed from the start. No amount of positive thinking will help them prevent that.

The 'secret' claims to be more than a positive mindset. It gives many examples about people visualising items and within a short time frame owning those items. An actual example from the book is from a guy that visualises a certain amount on his bank account. Turns out in a few weeks his limit is raised to that amount. He wasn't visualising specific enough!

If you can't smell the bullshit in that, then well you're a sheep that deserves to be taken advantage of.

I agree with what your saying but remember that some of the most positive out spoken men/woman are also some of the most insecure...Its one thing to present yourself as a very positive person but its not until your inside matches your outside that people can truely do some healing...

not bad

Anything you want takes work, regardless of the vision you have. There has to be a plan.

thats true, but having a plan without desire wont get you nowhere either. if you got the desire, confidence and willpower, the plan will come easily.

nothing in life can be achieved without rolling up your sleeves and getting into it.

as long as we're all internet experts, i will give you some tips of my own:

1. start your own business

2. save save save (i cannot emphasize this enough)

3. once you've saved enough and can "afford" risk taking ventures (whatever it may be), go and do it

4.  expand your own business

5.  there's no such thing as "setting your own hours" if you're self employed, it just means you went from 8 hour days to 24 hour days

6.  give yourself a set time of rest, whether it's an hour a day of being alone or one week of vacation a year, but set that time for yourself (if you're self employed, you'll find this extremely hard to do )

7.  plan ahead, think of your retirement years....save some more for that

To add on:

For the people who say "it's not all about money and material things"....um, yes it is.  It is naive to think otherwise, and downright un-American.

I use anthony's principles everyday.  Same with napolean hill.  People don't understand that you have to actually put action, and lots of it behind the faith and ideas you have.  What you want has to become an obsession!  Meaning everday and everynight 365days a year.  Not just daydream and recieve.

This thread topic,"the secret", self-help ideas/books/seminars/etc....all come down to consistent, positive effort.   This "secret" uses the term visualization, but you gotta take that term and expand on it and see it more abstractly.   Like all these self-help ideas, miracle diets, miracle training equipment, etc....it all comes down to the effort put into using the product/idea and the other direct/indirect effort that supports the product/idea (ex: the miracle ab product works if you bust your butt on it and bust your butt dieting and training via cardio/weights regularly inconjuction).   The more effort you put forth towards your goal, the more likely you are to achieve them.  This sounds like a no-brainer, but many people need a plan to help them achieve goals (even for common sense type things).  Others find the same plan/strategy ridiculous as they already comprehend what is necessary to achieve a goal (that common sense is already engrained in them).   Now, there is no absolute certainty of success given any plan/strategy, but there is a high probablity that success will more readily achieved if you put forth genuine, gut-busting effort towards a goal....that's the bottom line.

I would say the best way to achieve most goals is through constant education, networking, a ton of effort above and beyond the norm, always lookin your best and always exhibiting confidence in yourself and your goal.

good list. that's what it takes. i spent years building a business and when it began to thrive i could have sat back and lived a pretty good life. instead i took all profits and bought several houses here in Calgary. everyone that knew me said i was stupid and real estate was ready to crash and i would go broke. that was about 6-7 years ago. Calgary ended up with one of the most appreciating real estate markets anywhere, and now those same people are saying i'm a lucky, lazy SOB and that anyone could have made great money if they bought real estate when i did.

books like The Secret, Think and Grow Rich, Rich Dad, Poor Dad, etc. were critical in my becoming comfortable and confident in the ideas i used and were indeed life changing.

Luck is usually nothing more than preparedness meeting opportunity. Except for winning the lottery, which is actually lucky!

Most of you guys are right on. Our belief systems shape how we view ourselves and either propel us forward or hold us back.

at times like these i like to quote the johnny cash line "how many times have you heard a man say, if i had his money, i'd do things my way".

funny how those without a penny to their name are always full of financial advice for others.

It's equivalent of taking arm training advice from the personal trainer at your local Gold's who sports 13" cannons complete with rolled up sleeves and tribal tats.

All i can say the secret works, tony robbins is great too. I swear i alway used to focuse on te things that i dont have, and i only made it worse by doing that. I made a shift in positive thinking in less then one week, my confidence is skyhigh right now, and even though im not rich yet, i feel rich just realizing that i can achieve all the things i want. The mind is so powerfull its mindbogling ;D. Ive started my own business, and so far its going great. The funny thing is im getting all these good ideas, i dont believe in coincidence anymore. I see myself as a rich man in the near future, and i feel great just thinking about it, and the more i get confident and get the belief up, the more oppertunities im getting. Motivation and desire are the main elements in life  for me, motivation gets me curious, and from curiosity financial strategy ideas are coming.

There are plenty of people who achieve success in a more conventional sense.  People want a magic bullet and the second a charlatan presents them with some irrationality, superstitious people all over the world jump on it.  Personally I follow the principles in the book "Think and Grow Rich" and will own my house free and clear in one month.  There are scores of people in the world who do not follow "the secret" and achieve great success.

Those high achievers have all 1 thing in common, a good mindset. The secret is basically to become a positive person, the most of the rich are high value and positive people, so they do use the secret in their own way( criminals not included).

People on here will use any excuse to talk shit about you.  Furthermore, they will question your state of mind if you are currently medicated.

ive been on getbig for 5/6 years i know how it works, it doesnt bother me one bit, othermans opinion. I can tell you one thing about antidepressant, they do work, but they dont solve the problem, you have to be willing to change otherwise drugs wont do you any good.
