Title: Why is the mine owner talking only about air??

Don't the trapped miners need *water*, too??

6 days with only a half-gallon of water each...I don't really like those numbers.

Probably because they will last longer without water than they will without air.

One half gallon of water over 6 days is more than enough to survive, but you won't last 6 minutes without air
