Why would no man want to say he doesn't want to lift large numbers? That will only hurt you after a while and you will be walking around hurting like an old man just cause you wanted to lift " a lot ". I know a lot of fat guys that can lift a lot and I don't want to look like them at all. You want to look good not lift huge bro.

Everytime you train you see the 30-40 yo that has been there for years but hasn't really gotten any stronger. What is the reason for this? Certainly everyone wants to be stronger, no man can say that they dont want to be able to lift larger numbers, so whats the reason? Is there a limit to how strong a man can be without drugs? For instance, is it possible for every man to reach a 405 bench in his life if he trains hard for it? Obviously you have those who have superior strength, but is there a reason that a guy who trains, eats and rests right all his life should not be able to reach, for example a 405 bench or whatever?
The only thing that's limiting you is yourself. Natural or not..if you put in the time to train, diet properly and have the drive and dedication, I feel you achieve more than you thought possible. Now genetically I'm sure everyone has their limits but the body has amazing adaptive properties.

Great point ! I recall an interview Lee Haney did he had to have some minor back surgery he attributed to all those years of of squating with 500 pounds lol imagine how Coleman is going to fair in his older age and it reminds me of someones opinion when they saw Fred Hatfield ( Dr Squat ) Years after he retired he looked like a shell of his former self and had problems walking and he was barely in his 50s , very heavy lifting takes its toll on joints and bones its a double edge sword .

Right. I think the mind limits most people. Alot of people look at say 405 on the bench press and think it's impossible instead of thinking I'LL GET THAT ONE DAY OR THAT'S NOTHING TO ME! JUST ONE MORE STEPPING STONE! If you think something is unachievable it will be. Nothing in life worth having or doing is easy. I remember the first time I hit 315, then 405, and I'm still not happy. I don't know why people settle for mediocre. I'm sure eventually it'll all take it's toll but until then, it's lift it or die trying.

most people in the gym think you can archieve shit natural so they don't even try.

spot on mate....thats what i do aswell

most people are not consistent, they take summers off, a week or two around major holidays off, etc. to lift big naturally, you need to work out every single fvcking week, with an occasional planned week off.

not for nothing but 405 is a big number for a natural....assuming that you have a regular life, career, girlfriend and friends and also try to keep the body BF under 14%.
but ofcourse this is getbig..and 405 for reps is nothing.

there are limits but you have to know how to train around them...you max out one attribute, then start training related abilities.

Squad, I don't know where they guys get their logic.
in a regular gym, how many times have you seen a natty inshape (not some fat fuck) throw up for 405?
hell, I will go one step further
in a regular gym, how many times have you seen a natty inshape (not some fat fuck) throw up for 315? yeah a couple of times but not every minute.
I am just starting to play around with 315 without a spotter for a couple of reps...and in my mind 405 for reps is fucking light year away..and these fucker talk like 405 is expected.

exactly, i can't even imagine what it's like to take 405 fron arms length down to your chest and back up, most of these clowns who claim that couldn't take it off the rack.

You're right about people limiting themselves physcologically because look at Roger Bannister the first man to break the 4 minute mile , after he did it many more people followed , just like powerlifting an ' unbreakable ' record is benches and people all follow

How much could a natural heterosexual do?

there is alot of gays in the general population it is hard to decipher and organize the gays from the heteros because the heteros in this day in age seem to share many of the gay qualities i cannot give a definitive answer at this point but my guess would be 185 for a life time max

daddy what type of men are better at bottoming you, gay or straight?

DW sounds very introspective lately, he is the thinking man's bodybuilder.
-
yes most people will not bench 405.and their are genetic limitations but people keep lifting because they love it.

Because they don't train like they are supposed to do. Every monkey can find out what works or doesn't work for themselves. Biggest reason is probably the pain they are unable to handle when pushing themselves while working out.
