Post by: Special Ed on August 18, 2007, 01:16:50 PM
Holyfield Boxes Wrestler (from Fightnews.com)
In a special boxing match on tonight's WWE wrestling telecast (NBC 11:30PM ET/PT) former four-time heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield (42-8-2) faces WWE superstar Matt Hardy. Holyfield, who also boxed in an exhibition against WBA Executive Vice-President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza on Thursday in Panama, will be vying to win the heavyweight championship for an unprecedented fifth time on October 13 in Moscow when he challenges Sultan Ibragimov for the WBO world title. Interestingly, the bout was taped on Monday night in front of a packed house at New York City's Madison Square Garden, in the state that once banned Holyfield from boxing. can't really blame holy, (although it does put boxing in a bad light for a night) I'm sure McMahon is making it worth his while.

It's all part of Jebus' plan for him to become the undisputed champ again.
