these days you can put zero down and get a decent monthly payment for a leased car. When you run the numbers it is actually cheaper than buying.

yeah, but if you buy the car and finally pay it off completely, you own the car outright and only pay for insurance and maintenance. i think that is the route to go, rather than paying something you will never own

assuming that you keep the car for 7+ years, which at the point is when maintenance starts to play a factor..
and to be honest who wants the headache of a 10 year old car?
once again if you run the numbers leasing can be cheaper..considering that most leases have a maintenance package that covers everything even oil changes

Why buy when he can lease and write off the expense and gas as legitimate business expenses. Then he can just upgrade every two or three instead of dealing with the whole trade-in and purchase hassle.

It has the 6.1L (to my recollection) SRT Hemi motor. The same motor you can get in the Charger and 300C in the SRT series and an upgrade from the regular 5.7L Hemi.

I had an engineer going throught the green card process recently. I believe you have to submit to a medical exam including blood test & all. I wonder if the lab tech went like "wtf" 8)

By the way, you got shafted with the 745i. Should have waited for the 750i or Li. And just because your car was not in the shop doesn't mean shit. Don't know if you know, but the 7 series are the worst in reliability. (New 05 and 06 750's are much better) If you don't believe me look at the resale values of the 00's 740's and early 02 and 03 745i. Just remember to get that extended warranty before your 4 years is up ;D

Don't know if you know, but the 7 series are the worst in reliability. (New 05 and 06 750's are much better) If you don't believe me look at the resale values of the 00's 740's and early 02 and 03 745i. Just remember to get that extended warranty before your 4 years is up ;D
I probably won't keep it that long. I'm looking at getting an M5 next, if I can find a decent one a year or two old. (call me crazy, but I won't deal with the ridiculous first-year depreciation on new cars).

M5's are great cars. Are you getting the new one's or the 00-03 E39 ones? Either ones are awesome, but I love how the new V10 ones sound with the upgraded exhaust.
That's smart especially how these cars depreciate. That's why I'm looking at either an 05 or 06 E55 AMG. You can practically pick up one for a steal. On a side note Mercedes resale values as a whole are no match for bimmers, which is a good thing for people like me ;D
