"To ensure the best possible picture quality and preserve the complete film image, the creators of GREMLINS have requested that it be exhibited with a black border above and below.  We trust your enjoyment of GREMLINS will remain undiminished."

Gremlins rocked.

I would put that no further up than 3rd on the list, possibly 4th.

I agree somewhat, that's why I still have Rocky 1 as my favorite, but II is pretty much just a re-hash of the original.  This is how I would rank them:

Rocky
Rocky IV
Rocky III
Rocky Balboa
Rocky II
Rocky V

Best movie ever... well aside from the b.s with Drago losing...

full of american propaganda!

I don't watch films to get a political perspective, or even gain any sort of wisdom or point of view.  I watch films to be entertained, and it's hard to argue with the entertainment value of Rocky III & IV.  Those are the types of films that inspire me to get off my ass and train.  Besides, how can you lump in the last film, Rocky Balboa, with the political "mambo-jumbo"?  That film has nothing to do with politics.  It has to do with redemption.

Epic self realization that you are a loser and trying to take it out on the Rocky Legacy.

Yes, and the Rocky legacy does not answer to losers.

What the hell are you talking about?

He returned home to the place where he was born.  It comes full circle.  He started with nothing in the first movie, reached a peak around Rocky III or IV, started to lose it in Rocky V, and is now aged and living his most modestly ever, now without Adrian, just like how he started.  If you can't see the journey of his character than you obviously don't understand it.

Well I will give you that, but that's because IMO Rocky Balboa was a better quality movie than at least 2 or 3 of the others.  There was nothing cheesy, nobody had to die, it wasn't trying to "sell" something, and a lot of the lines and dialogue were much more believable, making the movie seem so much more realistic.  This movie took its time, didn't shove anything in your face.  Rocky was no longer this superstar, but a normal guy fighting father time.

s
stallone made that film for people his age, but instead the young people went to watch it, since it wasnt over the top or cheesy they only watched it once and generated 70M in the U.S  and it cost 24M to make (Im not sure if it includes marketing or not) and 85M overseas so it was profitable, but Rocky 4 made $127,873,716 in the U.S alone and and
$172,600,000  international and that was 1985 and it ranks number 1 sports movie Ever
