Isnt this just a case of the fact that most guys start lifting in their early 20's, get 6-8 years of good natural growth then reach their genetic limits?I would expect most guys in their late 20's or early 30's who have never trained to be able to put on some good mass in the first 3 years, wouldnt you?How much does test production actually drop?Is this drop enough to produce a complete stop on growth in some?If it is a myth at what age would you NOTICEABLEY put on less muscle as a beginner? This is all assuming a natural trainee.thoughts please.

it's tough to know, test levels drop a lot more for some then others... I am 29 and I find it easier now to gain muscle than ever, the only thing is that my joints have started getting old

Guys... you lift weight your muscles react to it and get bigger, it doesn't matter if you are 16 or 40 true you don't add mass as quickly as a 14 year old when you are 40 but I think you are complicating things waaaaay to much.
None of us will look like the rest of the world thinks a bodybuilder looks like most of us will have a perfectly good sporty physique and none of us will look like a fugging tank without the use of anabolic steroids.

I thought I was the only one on Getbig who wasn't 250 @ 5%!
Does the answer really matter? You going to stop lifting if your rate of progress is a bit slower than a kid who's probably skinnier anyway?
