Title: If you had to pick up a player from your most hated rival who would it be?
Post by: body88 on September 04, 2007, 09:34:49 AM
The cardinal sin!!!! If you had to pick a player from your most hated rival to play for your team who would it be?

I would pick up Arod from the yankees. See ya later Lugo. Sox will get Arod next year anyway  :P (crosses fingers)

I would take Mangold from the jets.

I would pick up Wayne from the Colts. Maybe Saturday. He is a fantastic center.

I don't think Big Papi would do well in NYC(well he might with the right center field), but I'd take him or Beckett.

With the extremely short porch in right and given that Ortiz is a pull hitter he would put up monstrous numbers in Yankee Stadium. Had he played in Yankee Stadium last year he would have hit at least 60 homeruns and probably between 62-66.

As outrageously good as Arod is it's going to take $30 million * 5 or 6 next year to sign him. I'd rather the Sox spend that money elsewhere, that's just obscene and is way too high of a percentage of the payroll to be wrapped up in one player.

I'd hate to say it but Jeremy Shockey would look awfully good in an Eagles uniform.

As much as I hate to say it,

I wish we could take Colt from Hawaii for a season..

I wish that the Bears could pick up a Tom Brady or a Tony Romo..

Well and the bulls already have Ben Wallace....  ;D

I guess I wouldn't mind taking D-wade or V. Carter either for the squad.

Big Papi as the dh for the Yanks would be killer!
A younger Brian Dawkins or McNabb would have looked good on the Giants!
Knicks suck so no real rivalry
I would take anyone on my Rangers over any Islander.

Baseball (I'm a Dodgers fan)....NL West is weak so I'll go all over.  I would take Peavy, Vlad, ARod (which we are rumored to be looking at), Lo Duca back...not sure who else right now

As for my Packers...yes, Packers....Archuleta, Kreutz, Urlacher, Dawkins.

I wouldn't mind seeing Adrian Peterson in Honolulu Blue, I am not a big fan of Bell or Jones.

Reed has the intrinsic quality of being where he is needed, whether it be in coverage, or in run support.  Even though he isn't a monster in the Atwater mode, he lays the wood.  Can you imagine Reed and Polamalu in the backfield?  SCARY
