why do all of the weights looked rusted?

my gym is dirtier and more rugged though no where near as well well equipped

All I have to say is that is a fucking badass looking gym! Great job by the owner. I would LOVE to train there.

When I first started lifting hardcore gyms is all they had , there were no chain gyms around my area just small hard core gyms and they all folded because fitness because big business and all the smaller gyms either fliped into gyms for the masses or went under , but in the end its not so much where you train but how you train .

i trained at a gym like that for a few weeks, with 200lbs dumbbells, huge juiced up guys squatting and shrugging 5-600lbs, etc. women weren't allowed to train there, so nothing to look at.

When describing his experience while working out with Dorian Yates over the Summer IFBB Pro Ernie Taylor said, " Each Morning we would have to throw a few Bricks down the stairs to scare away the Rats so we could workout ... ". Now THAT'S HARDCORE !! :D

I really prefer a good clean well equipped gym. I respect hardcore ones of course but I really don't get the point in training in a dirty gym.

Yeah, I never could understand the fact that when the owner of a gym is too lazy to clean his gym and it turns into a shithole it then get's labeled as "hardcore". If you stopped cleaning your toilet at home like that you wouldn't called it hardcore.
