-
45 seconds tops..intensity will bring you more results..
-
I usually get a burger and fries across the street and come back..............
so 8-10 minutes?
-
On my heavy days I rest till I feel ready for the next set.
I dont watch the clock.
-
60 seconds between sets. 6 sets.
-
On heavy days, 3 mins max between 2 or 3 rep attempts.

5-6 minutes? Damn. I feel like I could do my taxes in between sets when I wait 2-3 minutes.

7-15 minutes.

isnt there a possibility that if you rest too much between sets you would increase the risk of injury by cooling down.
unless you're into 1rm or something i dont really set the need for it. i do very little rest which was tough at first but it seems the body kinda adjust to it and my workout doesnt take forever because of it

Well,
I don't train in shorts and tanktop.
I also cover up between heavy sets.
-
what
you dont flex in the mirror between sets wearing nothing but spandex shorts and string tank?
-
As long as it takes my partner to do his set usually.
Heavy squats or bench might take a little more time but I don't go by a clock.

LOL very truth. Whats the point to go to teh gym and dont do it? (maybe even some shadow boxing between sets) ;D
I also like to watch myself on the most far away mirror, making strange faces and doing sounds like 'woooosh' or 'boooooooom' Levrone style

I do DC so it's 15 breaths for all my sets that are rest-paused. On normal sets (back thickness and quads) I probably rest ~3 min between sets.
-
on heavy days for reps between 4-6 i rest about 2-3 minuts tops.
-
3 to 4 mins tops
-
How long would Shawn wait?
I think anything less than 2 mins becomes an aerobic exercise.
-
maybe a minute. tops.
-
maybe a minute. tops.
yeah if you are on the stair master.
2-3 mins if you want to build muscle.
-
my body responds best to very short breaks.
i didnt say that it is the best thing to do, or advise anyone else to do so.
i just simply answered the question.
keep your mindless posts of arrogance to yourself.
-
What are your goals? Bodybuilding? 2-3 min.
Powerlifting? 5-15 min.
-
until the burn goes ...i generally stretch that muscle or the assissting muscles as welll in the rest period you should be able to feel when you are ready no more than lik 3 to 4 id say though for myself..somtimes i walk to the water fountain for my breaks take a sip and then walk back and hit it again

i just read a study today that shows that the shorter rest breaks you take, the more gh your body will release, and the more testosterone it will produce.. but you have to wait at least 15 seconds. so lately ive been taking about 20-25 second breaks in between sets...then about 1-2 minutes between exercises. i dont really notice a difference in strength compared to when i would rest for a minute in between sets, but i definitely sweat more, get a better pump, and will actually get more intense later in the workout..
i think i am growing faster too...but i am incorporating running, higher protein, and creatine all into my workout regimen lately. all of which help.
