Anybody who reads FLEX knows that this guy chimes in on the reader's feedback page about three dozen times a year!...who is this guy?...what's his connection with FLEX?...the guy is ALWAYS gettin' his stuff published...no joke.
Anybody have a clue?

Used to be in Musclemag all the time to with either reader training tips or an editorial.....must have spent all his time writing to all the rags back in the day...
-
You read FLEX? ::)

What? You can check out porn, sports, etc. while on the crapper...what more could you ask for? I use my smartphone when on the crapper at work. Damn firewall blocks out all the sports sites especially during playoffs and march madness.

I used to see his name in all the mags (when I actually picked them up and bought 'em) too.
I'm guessing it might be something like in the movies with Allen Smithy or however that name is spelled....if someone doesn't actually want to claim the information in the article, or it's just filler, they'll throw the "Traps" name on it?
:-X :-\

Excellent observation, bic. I've pondered this, too.

I always assumed that the average Getbig poster has a laptop and a foreman grill within reaching distance of said shitter.
-
Ayers has been sending in letters and 'tips' to the mags since the 1970`s.
He is well over 70 years old.
-
I have filed who wrote which letters to Strength & Health, and some in other magazines.
James wrote to Muscle Builder in July 1957. Not certain, but that may have been his first letter.
As I recall, no one has had more letters-to-the-editor published than he has.
-
Can't help but hate anyone nicknaming hisself after a muscle group.

70 years old?!!?...surely someone's shitting me here...I thought it was some guy in his late teens, early 20's!
If an article in FLEX needs to be written, maybe they should highlight THAT guy.
Seriously, this guy has been around that long?....I can't argue with blue stars after all..!

I don't know if since the 1970s, but I have issues of FLEX from 1995/6 with his letters in the feedback part. He is one annoying fuck.

...well there you have it. While I don't really consider the guy annoying, it does make me wonder just how in the hell he manages to get printed so often....If I were really that interested I'd go back into my FLEX collection to see how many times he's written in.
He's gotta be one of the biggest fans in the 'sport', in all truth.

Rumor has it....
James "Traps" Ayers is none other.....
Ron Avidan
(but you didn't hear it from me)
