I'll bet even money that they won't. This is what is so crazy about the IFBB, even though these guys placed ahead of Melvin in Atlantic city, chances are they won't get the callouts that Melvin got last year.
What do you guys think?
-
you are totally right
most shows are better judged than the o
lot more politics at the o than in other shows
-
The Mr. Olympia is the bizzaro world.
The guy with the widest waist, worst symmetry and biggest head wins.

Different show, different lighting, different physiques, and different guys competing against each other...
Many things can change in a short 2 weeks...Melvin can still beat everyone that just beat him by coming in 100%...Melvin at 100% is a top 6 contender, without question.
There are also the variables of being compared to bigger guys (Jay, Vic, Ronnie, Toney, etc......you have to be able to hold your own while giving up 40-80 lbs. of muscle....Melvins structure can carry him a lot farther than some of the others.
-
Yes, they will.
Because Melvin won't be compared to Ronnie, Jay, Toney, Vic or Dex.
2cnd or Even third call out will have Melvin et al.

I can understand that but it seems bizarre, that if an athlete beats or comes close to beating another athlete, he may not get anywhere near him at another show. If I can recall correctly Mark Dugdale finished 2nd to Toney Freeman at the Ironman (and could have easily finished 1st) yet failed to get compared to him at the Arnold. Seems odd to me.
-
Seems odd to me at times as well...which is why I have gone to the lengths I have to provide for more comparisons throughout the prejudging. That being said, different shows will result in different judging panels, and different physiques (yes, even by the same guys)...

Regarding Sami...look for the classic.
I don't know.....even if I did know, I wouldn't disclose the details.

No, based on the pics I seen..Troy looked to be about where he ended up.
As for Sammy...that's up to him.

Bob, let me enlighten you, this is how it really works:
different judges, different pre-conceptions, different politics, different callouts and different results

My guess is Cicherillo knows about it. You could say... he's got the real life experience to show for it. ;D
He got shafted more than most BB's out there, when he was placed in the bottom in his first O, eg.
