Title: This is the respect the pros talk about
Post by: charles-benner on September 17, 2007, 12:02:56 PM
About a month ago someone posted Johnnie jackson photos guest posing and was "sloppy looking" however a contest is not judged in a guest spot, but for months people he sucks he cant win a show he will never do this never do that and look now he has two titles in a short carrer so far.  So why does everyone bash an athlete when they have a bad picture taken instead of showing support and then judge and the day of the contest

Hahahaha. . .mostly right.  But the real answer is that an audience member paid money to see Jonny guest pose.  Jonny should be giving the audience members their money's worth and show up in some semblance of shape.  It is insulting to those in the audience to pay to see someone guest pose and then out walks a fat out of shape guy in a bikini.  We aren't talking about having a bad picture taken here chuck.  We are talking about professionalism (hahahahaha-I can't beleive I even used that word in connection with bbing) and respect for the people that put money in his pockets.  Its the same disrespect that Mike Tyson showed everyone who paid money to see him fight his last fight.

Thats understandable but you need to realize that for a bbdr to show up to a guest pose, he needs to be "on" full force as the audience expects the bbdr to look like they do in the magazines. That can be very hard on the body. Sometimes fans are a little too expectant of bbdr's. You cannot be on drugs 100% full force at all times.

Oh, I agree that most people don't expect an Olympia type condition for their local NPC show.  But the shape that Jonny showed up in was disgraceful.

Maybe, just maybe, people like the offseason look rather then the shredded? Or they like to see both sides of the coin? Somehow i think the people attending that guest posing realize that he is not going to be contest ready, will be "fat" , and still look better then anyone there....have some of that with your corn flakes bruthas!!!!

I have been upset about the same with shows here in AZ...
But its more the promoters responsiblity to book guys that are going to be in shape...If you dont want an out of shape looking bodybuilder then dont hire a guy that is in the middle of the offeseason, especially when you know he gets a lil out of shape when not competing...The Promoters are the one screwing people not the bodybuilder...

Exactly.

It's hard to respect people who don't respect themselves.

so he shouldn't pose if he's a fat fuck.  do your posing when you're in shape.  what if you showed up to work and said "it's october, i'm only in full force january through march, give me a break boss".

you'd get thrown out headfirst.
