Title: How much longer?
Post by: BGfnSCOOB on September 18, 2007, 11:45:21 AM
How much longer does the IFBB , pro bodybuilding, have left on the clock before being investigated by congress for steroids much like WWE , pro wrestling , is right now ?
Just as many deaths and catastrophic health issues from massive drug usage...
the list is LONG......   The steroid crackdown is stinging every sport from MLB to the NFL ...
How much longer b4 bodybuilding is exposed & regulated......

One day of coverage on CNN for a scandal would be more TV coverage than the sports' had in its entire history.

So it'd be a good thing.

The sport is not "BIG".....
But the money generated by the supplement companies and magazine sales certainly equal WWE status......

Bodybuilding is too under the radar for the public, and therefore the cops, to give much of a shit about.

I still think is shows how screwed up our priorities are, though, when we're spending law enforcment resources to go after steroids when we have meth, crack, and heroin flooding some of our cities.

Until a few bb'ers die, or do something amazingly stupid like another craig titus situation, nothing will happen.

Politicians really wait for unfortunate events to happen so they can capitalize on weak moments!

Right.

#1- It's not sport.

#2- It's not big enough, I.E, not enough mass appeal.

Bob Chic's version;

never happen, everyone cares, we love bb'ing here on getbig and the IFBB has MAYBE 40-50 million fans in this country alone and the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL have thousands of fans.
