Title: Wine cooler stain on white polo shirt?
Post by: DIVISION on September 18, 2007, 01:17:46 PM

During my vacation at Toxie's one of my white polo shirts was stained with some kind of pink alcoholic drink.  What's the best way to treat this without ruining the shirt?

He said his mom would clean it for me, but she never did.   >:(

It's a striped combed cotton shirt.   :-\

It would be really helpful to know what the stain is.  Is it a pink colored alcohol like from a cosmo or a red wine stain that turned pink because you tried to clean it/dilute it at the time?  Have you already made attempts at cleaning it and are still left with a lighter stain?

If it's dry clean only don't do anything and get it to the cleaners. Pretreatment can cause irreversible damage and the dry cleaner may not be able to get it out.

Spray and Wash Dual power has had great reviews too.

Hydrogen peroxide mixed with a tiny bit of detergent may also work.

Take no chances of ruining it and get it to the cleaners right away.
