I'm considering of purchasing myself a "GeorgeForeman Grill". To cook my chicken makes it untasty sometimes, or if i put it in the oven it'll dry out too fast.
Does anybody have the georgeforeman grill or recommend it for grilling?
Thanks

Best thing invented in the last 50 years.. once you get one you won't be able to live without one!
I have two and I love em to death.. I got the mini one for regular cooking and the big ass one for parties/ when I have people over.. it's brilliant 2-3 minutes and your chicken breast is done.

I have the big George, that looks like a BBQ grill. Thing is awesome, cooks steaks in like 6 minutes. Easy as hell to clean. I'd by another anytime.
-
u can buy pans, that dry fry ur chickens and it tastes like a real gas bbq flavour (a million times better than foreman), i cant stand george foreman chicken anymore.
the pan is expensive though, like 100 usd...worth every penny.

It's good for cooking when your drunk. It's good for a few things.
My favorite hting to do with chicken is cut it into 1 inch cubes and cook it that way. Right when its done I stir in some barbeque sauce and salt free mrs. dash. Best chicken in the history of earth!

try 'le creuset' (spelled something like that...this pan will change ur life!)

the grill is awesome, fast cooking and easy to clean. i use it for chicken, steak, fish, and veggies. buy one that accommodates big ass steaks.

Just get the removable plates, because the others are a pain in the arse to clean. I used one without the plates for 5 years with little problems, but my only complaint was the cleaning. That one gave out on me recently and I bought one with removable plates which I actually have yet to use!

George foreman is not a grill,

George foreman is not a grill,
I agree.

I actually find that the foreman is pretty poor at cooking chicken. The chicken breasts I cook are pretty thick, so basically when I use the foreman I have to cut them up or it doesn't cook the inside, and when you cut it up it turns out pretty dry. On the other hand its probably the best thing on earth when you are cooking lean hamburger patties. I actually use mine only to cook beef/turkey patties.

I swear by mine, I don't now how to cook shit. But a steak or chicken in the grill and a potato in the microwave and I'm set.

Real Men Use Real Grills!!! ;D

i bought a foreman grill 2 years ago and got rid of it last year... they take up too much space and they are a waste of cleaning time
-
It makes chicken too hard and "leathery" but it's good for burgers and hot dogs.

I have had several different ones over the last few years. The chicken was never hard and leathery, may be you over cooked it, mine is always juicy. ;D

George Forman Grill, Steamer , Blender and a Microwave. Bodybuilder necessity's !
-
throw a little fat free cheddar cheese on top of the chicken, makes it taste a million times better.

Pepper, and lots of it!

I have to agree. I don't LOVE it like everyone else seems to. It's okay :-\ I wish it had a temperature and timing control.

Every bodybuilder I know owns one or two, lol..
for all the people saying the chicken is dry and leathery.. obviously you're leaving it in too long, also you have to WATCH the food when you're cooking it, not take off for 10 minutes and come back, LOL.

frying pans are cheaper and better and easier to cleans

the new ones do have a temperature control on it and a timer, you plug it in and then wait 5 minutes for the timer to go off and put the meat on when it's already hot, makes a big difference.
-
We have had two, the one with the timing control definately helps so you dont have to watch it every minute. It works great on boneless chicken, hamburgers, and steaks, and much faster than anything else we have. Yes, the only problem is the cleaning, but I found that if you clean it when it is still a little warm, it is 10 times easier and faster than when it is cool.

that's the best way to clean it, wait until it's hot and all the gunk on it gets hot and collects on top of the grill and easy to move with the black cleaning utensils they give you, Foreman's are awesome for the convenience they provide you, well worth the money.

I had one years and years ago when it first came out and liked it for the convenience. However, there's nothing quite like cooking meat on a charcoal grill, so I stick mainly with that now, even if the meat is more unhealthy because of the sat. fat...
