Just heard it on Sportscenter. This is his last season there. He still wants to play, any guesses as to where he may wind up, that is if anyone wants him?

Yankees
really? doubt it...

Definitely will be playing in the American league next year as a DH. He's a statue in left field now because of age and injuries.
Can still swing the bat though. He was having a respectable season this year numbers-wise but his body finally started to break down.
He'll be an asset to a ball club that's one power hitter away from being a contender.

Yankees
Oakland

Oakland, Seattle or Angels....somewhere on the west coast so he can DH

Bingo, DH and stay close to his home.

barry has always said that he would retire before he would accept playing DH
-
He's got a few statistical milestones that are within reach and since he can't play the field anymore he's forced to switch to the AL.

He better retire then and get a clue.
A starting outfielder at age 44 next season? Zippy chance. He's delusional.
Why NOT be a DH? prolong your career, make more money, less wear and tear on the body.
The fucking ego on this guy.....

I don't think he's opposed to it now at all.
I think LA is a perfect fit for him. He doesn't fit the Yankees M.O, although I would LOVE to have him for a DH, if Giambi wasn't on the team.

He would still be a real good DH in the American League.

Woo, watch how quick that changes.
