Title: Injection Site

Did a 2ml slug of deca and enan right in the right glute just now, however, minutes later, i noticed the area 1cm below the injection spot was starting to swell.

Area is slightly red in color and swollen. Never experienced such a thing thing in my cycling history.

I am icing that area now. Any feedback to why this could have happened? I am curious myself.  :-\

Could be a reaction to the solvents, depending on what was used! It takes time to develop infection so I wouldn't really worry too much yet. Try using heat instead of ice!

Sound like oil backed up under the skin.
No fever - No worry usually.
Massage lightly.

As 4thAD said I would use heat instead of ice, massage it and let us know tomorrow what it's like.

I concur with trab.  It's too soon for any type of infection.  I'm an icer, but I don't think it really matters.  If it's an inflammatory response I think ice just works better acutely.

Believe it or not ass injections show more swelling then other area's...I can shoot anywhere with no pain or swelling except for the butt..i shoot there and I develope a lump the size of a grapefruit..You'll be fine..Try the delts or quads..

Yep, oil backed up frm underneath the skin is what i can concur.Thanks for the feedback. Gave me a shock as it look liked i was having a good rash patch on my ass.

Area is back to normal now, though i must say im feelin pretty sore there, must have nicked something too.

All i can remember is that i felt a nice sharp twitch of the muscle halfway through the insertion of the pin, but i just ignored and pushed thru it, too lazy to repin.

Gotta agree with ya old man, 1ml of test susp swelled my ass quite nicely a few mths back, couldnt even sit cross legged on the floor without having experience a serious cramping sensation in my glutes. :D
