Title: Question for Bob Chick:
Post by: G o a t b o y on September 30, 2007, 12:15:21 PM
What happened to the bb.com "fan's choice award"?  Wasn't it supposed to be awarded on-stage last night?

Why wouldn't Cicherillo be as pissed as anyone about the result?

It's a bigger slap in the face to Wolf than keeping him away from Jay and placing him 5th. I can't wait to hear Bob's reasoning for this one.

Wow.  ;)

that's a start . . . you have to remember that there were probably ten times more people watching the webcast than there are PBW listeners.  then you have to add the people at the Orleans arena.

How about a banner on the home page of BB.com too? something like  BB.com congratulate fan's choice winner Dennis Wolf

bb.com rep & athlete's rep & mc & Olympia organizer (by his own admission) Chick is surprisingly cavalier about disappointing the fans/customers.

Maybe this thread should be stickied until appropriate action is taken? some people actually went to the trouble of signing up for a bb.com acct to make wolf's win happen.

And then the Olympia organizers & sponsors just ignored the fans . . .

So for the size of the entire Olympia, convention and show, everything went off without a problem with this one exception?  ::)

this thread needs to be retitled to reflect the continuing apathy towards the fans on the part of bb.com and the olympia organizers.

The judges would have been pretty embarassed that the guy the put in 5th was announced as the fan's choice to win, huh?  Good thing they never got the results to you until the show was over, huh?  ;D

I'll bet you $100 it damn well would have been announced if Jay Cutler had won!  >:(

I don't blame Bob, I'm sure it wasn't his call, but I'm sure somebody made the conscious decision not to announce Wolf so as to avoid embarrassing the judges.  >:( >:(
Title: Re: Question for Bob Chick:

As a promoter for the show, if I was running bb.com I would be pissed that it wasn't announced. "The winner will be announced LIVE on stage near the end of the show. Keep watching to see if your choice wins!" By not mentioning bb.com/the winner bb.com lost out on a ton of potential exposure. So not only does the real winner of the O get screwed but also other promoters. There should be a limit as to how much money a company can put in to sponsor an event...but I'm sure we'll never see that.

i don't believe the 35% either it was probably closer to 40.  avoiding embarrassment was the Producers call
