I suppose I could, but I don't think my arms are big enough to pull it off that way.  Guys like levrone and sergio could do it, most can't.

Its not really a room, just kind of a hallway.  I just moved in and will use that space to put a computer desk.  The apartments were 3 large paper mill buildings built in the 1860's right on a river where I live.  About 10 years ago they were converted into apartments, so the floor plans are different in each one, with some apartments having some wasted space, like mine.

Very funny mars.

My Diet is very similar to the palumbo offseason diet.  Its fairly high in fats and moderate as far as the carbs go.

I actually just switched up my training at the beginning of august and am trying a routine I haven't done before.  It involves alot of supersets.

Monday: Chest/Back

5 Sets Bench press supersetted with 5 sets of wide grip pull ups
5 sets barbell rows supersetted with 5 sets incline dumbell press
4 sets dumbell pull overs

Tues:Legs

5 sets squats / hammer leg curls
5 sets stiff leg deads/hammer leg extension
4 sets walking lunges

Wed : Arms

5 sets barbell curls/ tricep pressdowns
5 sets skull crushers/ preacher curls
4 sets concentration curls/ between bench dips

Thurs : shoulders-  No supersets on shoulders days

4 sets barbell military presses
4 sets dumbell lateral raises
4 sets reverse pec dec
6 sets shrugs

On friday I do calves and abs.

I tried somethin similar a couple years back and I didn't respond to it like I had hoped I would.  I'm curious to find out how it works out for ya.

It seems to be working pretty good.  Its really just to change things up a bit.  My normal routing was a pretty basic 6 day split, Chest/Back/Quads/Shoulders/Arms/Hams+Calves+abs.    4-5 exercises per body part, 4 sets per exercise, 8-12 reps.

I used to be eating a lot more, but I was up to about 305 pounds and didnt like the way I looked or felt.  Lots of bodybuilders have that goal of reaching 300 pounds offseason weight and I can tell you that its no big achievment if you look and feel like crap.  So I cutback on my calories and have lost about 25 pounds.  Whenever it is I decide to compete, I would like to not have to cut more than 30 pounds, so Im going to try and get down even further, probably to around 270 or so.

9 bagillion pound squats for 1000 million reps! BOOOOOOOOOOOM

For my chest workout last night, I started with bench.  Got 335 for 12(not to failure), 365 for 10, 405 for 6, 335 for 10, then 315 for 10.  I worked up to 365 for 8 with barbell rows, then worked up to 120's for my incline dumbell presses.   The one thing I've found out with supersets is that I can't go as heavy as I can with my other workouts, because I get wornout much faster.

I don't see it as an excuse, I just see it as a posing preference.  Like I said Before, I think guys with very long heads on their bicep (sergio, levrone, chris cook) can pull off posing like that.  I personally don't like bringing my arms down that low.

You gotta do what works best for you.  It seems to me like Dennis Wolf leans very far forward for his most muscular and keeps his arms reletively straight, very different from many other bodybuilders, but it certainly looks good.

Im getting about 400 grams of protein in each day, 60 grams of fat and about 250 grams of carbs.  Thats a rough guess.

Wow...that isn't a whole lot especially for a guy your size.

Nope, not really.  Like I said earlier, I was over 300 pounds at the beginning of the summer and have been talking with a new nutritionist.  He strongly recommended that I come down in weight and try to stay within about 30 pounds or so of my contest weight, so I cut back on my calories considerably.  I havent decided when I will compete, but I can say I feel much better at 280 than when I was over 300.

Also, a HUGE factor in my training is my sleep. I know that sounds obvious, but I have had sleep apnea for a few years and finally got a CPAP machine 6 weeks ago that makes me sleep like a baby.  The results from my sleep study showed that I was getting ZERO recovery sleep, so i wasnt growing the way I should have been.  If anyone on here has sleep apnea and isnt using a CPAP machine, I strongly recommend you get one, it has made a world of difference not only in my training but in everyday life.

also keeping stress levels down is very important aswell.

I know that sounds obvious, but I have had sleep apnea for a few years and finally got a CPAP machine 6 weeks ago that makes me sleep like a baby.  The results from my sleep study showed that I was getting ZERO recovery sleep, so i wasnt growing the way I should have been.  If anyone on here has sleep apnea and isnt using a CPAP machine, I strongly recommend you get one, it has made a world of difference not only in my training but in everyday life.

is the sleep apnea caused by your size? what did the doc say? a lot of bb have it and dont know it.

Remember Arvilla was like 340lbs before he dieted down..

Arvilla is not in this dudes league.  Not even close.  Arvilla=Wisc.BB water boy

Size is a factor yes.  Basically, If you're snoring really loud, and stop breathing while you sleep, there's a strong chance you have it.  I dated a nurse 4 years ago who told me I had it, and I always blew it off because i dreaded the thought of having to sleep with the mask on.  When I was sleeping, I would stop breathing, then take a really big deep breath when I started breathing again.  When I started my new job after I graduated in may, I found out my boss had sleep apnea too, and he talked to me alot about how much better he feels since he got his CPAP machine.  The sleep study test that determines whether you have it is expensive, but my insurance covered everything.  I know that alot of people don't get a machine because of cost.  You have to have the sleep study done in order to get a machine.  The study was around $1500 and the machine another $800.  In the 6 weeks I've had my machine, i've slept without it 2 times and both times i felt like absolute shit the next day.  Its hard for me to believe thats how I was living every day prior to getting my machine.

I work with someone who has that machine.  So funny, when we travel he brings it through the airport and always poses a problem with them not knowing what the hell it is.

No, was being sincere, not facetious at all.

Most sleep apnea pts I've seen are obese - interesting to hear story from a bb'er instead.

Sleep medicine is a growing specialty, but it's not my specialty, so I only read/hear about these cases.

Alot more people have sleep apnea than I had thought.  The biggest hurdle most people need to get over is the need to sleep with a mask on.  Its not all that sexy!

Huge beyond belief man.. I also liked your back/chest workouts.. I tried it today, though not super setting as I am cutting back.

Bent over rows and a 2 sets of chins, followed by the flat bench abled me to have a more stable and consistent pressing movements. The bar was even, and the presses seemed natural. Afterwards, I did incline presses and then more chins. Felt great.

I just can't believe that someone would think I would lie THAT much about my weight.  If I was going to lie, I'd try giving myself an extra 10-15 pounds, but to say im 280 when i weight "235 tops"  is ridiculous.  Musclearny is comparing my offseason 280lbs at around 14 % bodyfat or higher to the top pros in the world when they are in contest condition.
