The stats have been released: 473 HP, 433 pound feet of torque, all wheel drive, from a Twin Turbo 3.8 V6. 0-60 in 3.5 secs , but it weighs 3,792 pounds

I dont like it. To robot looking for my taste. Im sure it will be fast as a bitch though.

Its weird how some cars don't look as cool in photos as they do in person

Be a hell of a lot cheaper than euro matches, though.. I mean an M6 will cost you a 100 grand and it isn't even a true stick.
I am guessing the GT-R will be cheaper.

this is someting like 70,000. I'd rather have a zo6. the GT-R is not a looker for sure. Fast of the start, yes. the GT-R is much heavier so I wonder how they match up at higher speeds, my guess it the ZO6 wins :-\

THe GT-R supposedly lapped the 'Ring in 7:35, faster than the Z06--or so it has been claimed. With a claimed 0-60 time of 3.5 secs, that is a tad faster than the Z06. because the car is AWD versus the Z06's RWD, it has better initial grip.
The GT-R will come in lighter iterations, but I think it will menacing in all black.

ZO6 hahahahahahahahah when will you understand that American cars are very cack, ZO6 has a 7.0l engine and about 500bhp. The american answer to everything is "make it bigger" normal corvettes already have a 5.7l if you gave that to a european or japenese manufacturer they would make a car that would kill a ZO6.
Litchfield in England make a subaru impreza 2.0l turbo which does 0-60 in 3.5 seconds, not to mention American cars handle like boats and cant corner. The legend Jeremy Clarkson put it best when he described the ZO6 that "the gearbox feels like it belongs on a plough", and that "it doesn't eally work"
In conclusion the ZO6 wont even come close to a GTR ::)

Ahhh, but the Z06 has won it's class at Le Mans up until this year. Nissan doesn't do so well in international racing. In fact they had TWR racing (same one's responsible for the Jaguar XJR-15) build them a race car to compete back in the late 90's, it was called the R390.
The 7.0 liter engine in the Z06 has gobs of turque, something that many of the smaller engine Japanese and Euro cars can't produce unless they add turbos. Mercedes AMG tends to take the same approach as the AM, with their 6.2 liter engine (the 63 AMG series)
Jeremy Clarkson, like to say alot of shit against Am cars, but will sing the praises of any british car, then will call it crap in 5 months. But he loves his Ford GT
As the saying goes, "There is no replacement for displacement"

Calm down bubba, the only thing I said is that the zo6 looks nicer and I wondered if it would be more of a match at speed since the gt-r weighs quite a bit more... I made no claims other than looks...
-
the gt-r looks like a suped up 350z... hahaha
I'd rather have an M6 in my garage anyday though.. But the price differences make you think twice. Drove a 6 series and the clutchless shirter was pretty nice.. Have yet to see an m6 in person, as I don't really follow cars. Seen many m5s but haven't driven one.
-
I love the way it looks from behind. The face doesn't pull its weight tho. The very latest models of the Skyline were much more attractive from the front.
Hey Parker, what portion of the technology on this car was developed by a black man? ??? :-*

The zo6 is a tremendous car for the money. Don't be so sure the GTR will be faster on the track. I bet you it wont. Clarkson also called the ford gt the greatest supercar ever. It was his pick in the challenge. Clarkson's fav car is the Ford GT40 and GT.
Most American cars do infact handle like dog shit. Just like most brit cars are underpowered ( Lotus / Martin's)

The M6 is one of my favorite cars out there now, especially the aftermarket versions.

Fantastic anti-USA newbie meltdown. Good job.
Your assertion that the GT-R will be faster around a track than the Z06 is nonsense. The Z06 is just over 3000 lbs. and sports more than 500 hp, it's power-weight ratio is fantastic. To put down the Z06 is to not have any idea what you're talking about.
BTW, the GT-R is brutally ugly. Nissan did a terrible job designing it.

The M6 with Evosport Headers and Meisterschaft exhaust sound like a beast!! I been on youtuve and heard a few, but, thereis a M5 I posted on here a few months ago with the same set, and it sounded better than any Lambo.
Supposedly the M5/M6 will get a Twin Turbo setup from the factory, that boosts output to 650 HP (just the keep up with the Audi RS6)

The BMW twin turbos are fucking awesome, if they tune it like they did in the 3 series turbo Audi better watch out.
-
The GRT-R looks like a suped up 350z.. Since I suck at true stick shift cars, I wasn't having the time of my life when I drove my friend's 350z.
However, the beembers have clutchless shifting, and that's like almost driving an automatic, but you're so much more alert because of the shifting without bothering with any clutch. You get the feel of the car, even if you drive it once or twice. Pressing the button to start is neet too..
Not that I will be driving either anytime soon. But I can always dream.

Yep, but the Beemers that wear the M badge have traditionally been high revvers, but Audi has leapfrogged them, especially the new M3, that it seems like there is no choice to either put turbos on the M engines, instead of upping the displacement, which would cost more money.

Yeah, you can see the family resemblance, I think they toned it down from the Concept car. I kinda like it, it has a brutal beauty to it, that few cars have (example: the Z3 based M coupe)

I mean tune it like the 3series model in that they have the turbos kick in one after the other perfectly so their is practically no turbo lag throughout the broad RPM range. Either way I will always like the BMWs over the Audis, for some reason even though I think the Audis are badass I just never really seen them as a true competitor to BMW, to me it's BMW, Mercedes and then everyone else in their class.

ahh, "shotgun" style, that was pioneered by the 959, except the 959 had one smaller and one bigger.
I think the deal with Audis is that the base models are front wheel drive. Like their VW counterparts. But Audi has always been FWD for 75 years (back in the Auto Union days).

The 959 basically pioneered everything you see in performance minded european cars, I would kill someone for the chance to drive one ;D

At one time not even Mr. Microsoft himself could bring one into the States. He had two that were sitting in a Federal impound. tires were flat spotted. He couldn't get them federalized. I think the Feds have loosened laws now and he has them. But those 959's were sitting in impound for years.

The gtr has to be the ugliest car I have seen in a long time. Hopefully the new Supra does not look like shit also.

Supposedly they might not make the Supra. SInce, the Lexus LF-A will have a 550+ HP V10, that will be the halo car. The only way theisable to have the Supra would be to put the Lexus IS-F V8 in it. But, how would they price it, would be priced in the range of it's rival the 350Z, which it it will be more than a match for? Or in the range of the GT-R, which the V8, will not match (but could be tuned to).
Also, Lexus is becoming a stand alone company from Toyota. Doesn't make sense to put engines that are destined for only Lexus', into the Supra. Nissan also had a badging issue, it was a big question as to badge the Nissan GT-R as a Nissan or an Infiniti, the smart people did the right choice and kept it a Nissan.
