I was just watching UFC unleashed and Stephon Bonner just faught and won, and on his trunks and t-shirt it had Bodybuilding.com as a sponsor, thought that was pretty funny, especially all the discussions on TapOut t-shirt wearing dudes at the gym on the site..
-
I've heard all the talk of TapOut shirts but never saw one until there was some 100lb kid wearing one at the gym last night.
-
Seriously it's getting terrible, and now bodybuilding.com is sponsoring this guy?? I don't get it? He's not a bodybuilder..

What seems to be your problem, son?

Sponsoring athletes outside of bodybuilding helps build the industry as a whole. Just as guys like John Cena being at the olympia expo and whatnot. Guys and gals competing is great though there is a lot more room for growth.
-
I agree, but they should have approached somebody from MMA with more marketability and a better physique....like St. Piere or Franklin.

Why would you say that he is not a bodybuilder? He is a professional fighter, but can very well also be a bodybuilder. Maybe he isn't as "big" as these drug addicted pros, but the combination of symmetry and balance that he has is one that was most likely attained through the integration of bodybuilding principles into his overall MMA training.
Look at his frame, he could have won the Mr. Getbig II...

He was suspended for juicing, and if you saw the fight tonight his body looked terrible.
-
I don't think the fights have been broadcast on the pacific coast.

MMA is gay, boxing isn't. The end.

Bodybuilding.com also sponsors ESPN and ESPNradio programming.
You have to keep in mind that their job is to sell supplements, so it makes sense for them to advertise where the potential customers are.
