ron love was a founding member of the "I benched 315 lbs for reps the first time I went to the gym."

I thought Ron looked great at the 92 O and could have been compared right up there with Levrone and Yates size wise. Just not in the conditioning department Kevin was peeled so much that he lost alil trademark size which may have cost him an Olympia.

He was going to compete at the 2007 New York Pro! He is 56 now and apparently still in very good shape. I heard he had served a stint in jail but wasn't sure for what. Awesome bodybuilder. He was still in top shape by the time he retired at age 42!

I lived in detroit for 6 years....he trained me at powerhouse gym in Rosedale Park...I think they closed it.

high voulume , 15-20 sec breaks , 15-25 min per bodypart , preexhaustion , peak contraction , breathing properly ( tight midsection at all times aka ab control ) , FUCKING BRUTAL . He managed to absolutely demolish me . As a former professional athlete , I was no stranger to hard work . But he was so intense , I had to focus starting the night prior , pump myself up with music , and focusing and visualising the oncoming slaughter for 1 hour before the workout. Was a lesson for a lifetime .

yeah I did...it's a great sport . you should try it. Go get a few lessons first with a good pro so u get the basics right , than find a partner and enjoy .

ACTUALLY he trained very controlled but was strong nonetheless...doesn't matter what they wrote there ,matters that he acomplished 3 pro wins :)

Pretty cool! I know where those gyms are. I was born and raised in Detroit too, but now I live in Sterling Heights. I still see big Bryan Pazdzierz around from time to time. I loved training at Vikings gym on Greenfield and 8 Mile before moving to the East side. I don't know if it's still there anymore but everyone in that place was there to train like monsters. Loved it!

for a hardcore gym with good powerlifters and a world class deadlifter go to 4th and washington....downtown royal oak...fitness something...good atmosphere...

probably had as good genetics as ronnie coleman. but simply didnt train as heavy as ronnie nor take as much drugs. (he probably took alot of drugs but not as much as ronnie)
also think many many black guys have as good genetics as ronnie they just dont have the ability to train heavy and consistantly for as many years as ronnie did............or want to.
