I'm thinking about upping my fat intake a bit, adding a spoon of oil to my protein powder, or to my rice.
I'm already eating some nuts, taking fish oil (2g/day).
So i'm thinking walnut oil would be a good source for some extra omega-3s.
Or maybe flaxseed, which is a bit cheaper?
Can somebody give me the pros/cons of this?
Anybody add other oils to their diet and why?
-
olives, nuts, egg yolks, fish and fish oil supplementation..
this is where i get my fats from
-
mine come from strickly animal sources---whoppers, junior bacon cheeseburgers, and quarter pounds, which cheese of course.
-
UDO's Perfect Oil Blend- the right ratios of 3-6-9 Omega's

Olive oil is good and has some decent anti-inflamatory properties if you're doing heavy lifting; some fat from red meat is recommended also for maximizing testosterone production.
-
olive oil in salads and cooking
fish as supplments
other fats that might not be as good i get in regular food

CLA is bunk garbage. that product isnt worth shit. just stick with the fish oil its its 27 bucks its very expensive fish oil. i wonder what the dha and epa levels are
THE best fish oil out right now is NUTRA SEA triple strength with 1500 and 500 epa and dha respectively per 5ml's super high potency.

Compared to Sam's Club Fish Oil
$7/bottle for 300 caps
$.02 cents per cap
120mg DHA/180mg EPA per cap
Per cap, it is 60.0% EPA and 40.0% DHA
$.012 of each cap goes to EPA
$.008 of each cap goes to DHA

i would imagine the source of the oil is better in the biotest formula but it is more expensive. to be honest based on having cla i would avoid it all together.
