Title: Other Supp companies jumping on the Milos Shake bandwagon
Post by: El Diablo Blanco on October 27, 2007, 10:03:29 AM
Not sure if you guys have noticed but other supp companies are jumping on the Milos shake bandwagon.  Nutrex just came up with their DURING workout shake called mass xxplosion.  They even use the double XX like Milos line.  They even use the same theory in their ads on what Milos has been trying to explain for a while.
Also garbage drinks has a new DURING workout drink.  Before you know it a lot of supp companies will be jumping on the bandwagon.

Milos may claim to be the innovator of slin  bodybuilding but he is certainly the innovator of this type of drink that seems to have the attention of all supp companies out there.

Drinking your PO shakes during your workout has been around the forums for years.  I'm surprised it's taken the supp companies this long to catch on.

during workout shakes are shit imo... i dont get how people can down a protein shake during a leg or back workout. at that time food is the last thing on my mind  :-X

anyway i dont see the point with it.... you load up with carbs before the workout anyway, and i dont think drawing blood to your stomach to digest can be good during workout...

I bet you are just so "hardcore" with your work outs pushing yourself to the point of vomiting. Why not train smarter instead of harder?

i do sometimes get nauseus during back and legworkout but i slow down and dont push it to the point of vomiting.... but a during shake would certainly make it worse..

i bet you're one of these pussies that never do deadlifts/bentover rows etc. and tell everyone how training more than 45 minutes minutes is catabolic  ::)

Why do people refer to bent over rows like it is a hard core excercise?

Yeah they've been around for a while.  But I've said it before, Milos is either going to better the sport with his "theories" and sacrifice sales of his own products, OR he's going to push his products and say that you can ONLY get these benefits from his products!  ;)

Still, the best "during workout" drink I've ever had was with NUCLEAR NUTRITION (Trevor Smith's line), they had an drink I think called MRP 6...it was loaded up with all the essential, bcaa's, vitamins, glut etc.....BUT had the consistency of gatorade!!!  It wasn't like a thick protein shake, didn't cause bloat or slowed digestion...damn I loved that stuff!!!

IF you want something in this sport you've got to go out and get it yourself.  Send photos of yourself to various supp companies and let them know you're interested blah blah blah...

Even go to the local max muscle store and see if you can work something out.

I've had TWO sponsorships before....one of them was with a max muscle and another company who actually paid for everything...and I've NEVER gone to the national stage, yet  ;)

you dont use the during drink while training legs.

you also are not drawing blood into the stomach as you are not digesting anything. you are using high osmosis carbs that go straight in and dont hang out to get digested.

There is NOTHING new in Milos' supplements line. Almost identical products with the same idea have been around for years.

You keep saying this, yet when you pulled up an example of an identical product, it took me all of 2 seconds to see massive obvious differences. Pray tell where you imagine these identical products of yours? Or are you just being obtuse?

It's a myth started by people with inferiority complexes

I've said it about a million times......Heavy is heavy, going to failure is going to failure. round weight, square weight, attached to a cable, hanging from your dick....whatever.

I make my own. A couple scoops of PowerBar Recovery mix, a scoop of Waxy Maize, some BCAA powder, some EAA powder, GABA, Creatine and Arginine. Mixes like cement and tastes like shit.

When I say identical I mean that the premise behind the product is identical. If Milos' product has 12 grams of amino's per serving and a competing product has 15 grams, what the real difference? Milos claimed that the product he was going to release would be revolutionary, with never before seen ingredients, which is obviously false. I predicted the same when he first talked about it.

Biotest's Surge = carbs plus fast absorbing protein to be used pre-during-post workout = identical idea. Several years old.

Scivation and Primaforce has amino mixes which are used pre-during post workout, which some add carbs to = identical idea. In fact Mike McCandless said Milos used to order these products all the time. Have been on the market for a long time.

I could find several more very similar products on bb.com that have been out for a long time.

What's really new? Nothing.
