I'm looking to add a leg press to the gym that I've put together in my basement. I was hoping that those of you that have one could give me some feedback on what brand/model you have and the pro's/cons of them. I have to go with a residential model, since I wont be able to get the commerical ones (with welded frames) down into my basement. So far, I've been looking at Yukon and Body Solid hip sleds/leg presses and the Yukon vertical/angled leg press. I'm hoping to find one that can hold a lot of weight (most of the residential models can only hold up to 720 lbs), has a good smooth movement and will stand up to regular use (once a week).

Dont waste your money, get a squat rack and do squats...leg presses are for pussies.

Already do them, but I like to switch it up.

If money isn't an issue AT ALL then fine, but otherwise a waste of money liek juyork already said :P
-
That would end up costing you heaps. If it is a pin and stack type of leg press, that would cost a lot, and if its a free weight one, that will cost a fortune, due to the fact that you will have to have 100's and 100's of pounds of weight plates.
Either join a gym or just do squats.

if he already considered this and still is looking for a leg press then he hasnt got the answer.
suppose you wanna train legs and for whatever reason cant do squats, would it help that 3 people say "dude shut up and squat!" ?
surely not.

Bluto youre retarded, all 3 say that its not worth the cost. He already said he CAN do squats, but wants a LP machine in addition to his squats...wow, thought you were smarter than that Bluto
