Title: 2008 Ironman: Who will compete?
Post by: Lift Studios on October 29, 2007, 05:35:32 PM
Phil Heath VS. Toney Freeman in the 2008 Ironman.

Who else is entering?  Big show..

The IRONMAN could shape up to be a great show in 2008. I'd like to see it return to like years ago when you had the Arnold front-runners in the mix.

Reportedly doing the show, but as we all know could change:
Phil Heath
Toney Freeman
Troy Alves
David Henry
Will Harris

I also hear rumblings one of the most outspoken competitors, from the east coast, may be returning to this stage.  8)

Looks like we can add King Kamali to this lineup, as this was his first show back in 2001, and qualified for the Olympia at it!

Are you going on record as Kamali qualifying for the Olympia again by placing in the top 5 in 2008?

If King is doing the Ironman Pro, and Milos is training him, then of course King will place in the top 5. After all, we all know by the end of this year, who has the most correct predictions!

With Muscletech's Nitrotech and Nano Vaper fueling King, along with a special mix of Milos' KNS products, who can he not place in the top 5.

Get with it Lift!

And it should be a fun show too! Right next to the Staples Center, right next to the Nokia Theater... the Laker Cheerleaders are excited to check it out, as well as some of the basketball players!

G4P does have a payoff

Kenny, King is married with a cute little baby at home. He is changing diapers, burping the baby. How many times have I told you to stop wishing. It just won't happen with you and King!

Be positive on the man. The guy has turned a new corner, and again, 2008 is a new year for him... if he decides to compete here, in the West Coast...

Dude....

when will you realize that being married & having babies has everything to do with putting bread on the table.

OBVIOUSLY he can't make $$$ from a professional bodybuilding career.......so where do you think he get's money from?

I would say dealing drugs...but King is pretty dumb to be a drug dealer.

You guys are all wrong! Titus is going to convince the warden to grant him a conditional release to do the Ironman. I heard that him and Kelly are going to have a special barbecue  "cook out" for all those "haters" that razzed him while he was in stir  :o

When are they going to start selling tickets?

If King is training with milos for his ironman prep, he will be 50% improved, which should land him 5th to 7th place, it just matters who enters the show.

King trained twice at milos gym.  In one day.  Then he got on a plane and headed home.
Not exactly a milos protegee.

He just didn't want to face the people he'd talked shit to at Golds.

King has all the tools necessary to be a top pro he was just under stupid guidance and making bad decisions.

Hah, bullshit.

The guy looks like a pro but you can't tell me that he could be a top pro.  In the (misguided) words of Jay Cutler, KK has "structural flaws".

IE, no matter what you will never be a top pro with arms that are too small.

Title: Re: 2008 Ironman: Who will compete?
Post by: rocket on October 29, 2007, 10:25:47 PM
hmm.. looks top pro material here to me.

Post pictures of him standing next to top pro's and your point will be obliterated.

There is something in his arms now, they look just as bad as when they were small.

I seriously doubt King can publicly say he is using KNS products - at least as long as he is with Muscletech. Not that he would necessarily use or endorse it anyway.

Post by: Ron on November 01, 2007, 03:33:01 PM

King Kamali is a Muscletech athlete, and does not endorse any other product. But it will be interesting to see how Milos trains him, and what gains he can produce. Remember, the Ironman Pro is a top five Olympia qualification show, and my home town, and King did place in 3rd in his rookie season here!  As for Disgusted, King and him are great friends, even if King is gaining more knowledge via Milos.

Also, while talking to LT, he said that besides Deshaun Grimez, Ray 'Stingray' Arde will also be making his pro debut at the Ironman. If all of these competitors come into the show, this could be one of the best lineup in years out here!

Working out to be a pretty good line up it seems. I don't know why, but i have a feeling King may surprise some people. You never know, maybe King on the O stage one more time.
