Title: Interesting stength claim.
Post by: Master Blaster on November 06, 2007, 10:33:00 AM
How does this sound? 735 lb squat for three perfect ass to heel reps at a body weight of 195.  :D

This was a recent claim by a pro-bodybuilder who "used to train super heavy with some mysterious giant powerlifter dude, but now just lifts light and goes for perfect form."

If it was printed in the latest Flex it's true.

Gargantuan levels of B.S.. That would 've made him a World class powerlifter during any era.

AHAAHHAHAHAAH!!!!   I love how so many of these bullshit claims are now prefaced with or accompanied by "I did this while training with a huge powerlifter"....as if that somehow validates it.

Hahahah, exactly!  ;D

And the bodybuilder in question is ... TONY FREEMAN  the "X" man. He seems like a cool guy, but I'm having a little trouble believing him on this one.

If it came from Mr. Freeman then I'll easily give him the benefit of the doubt.....he has been Squad approved and is an outstanding bb.   If that is a legitimate lift it's a great one.

Mike Francois used to squat 735 and trained with Louie Simmons at his gym - so that part of the story ties up - somehow I doubt he weighed 195 when he did it though.

People bag on Flex for crazy lift claims, but MD is totally full of shit.  According to them Trey Brewer is doing what, 600 lb inclines, 500 lb bb rows, 750 lb squats, and 200 lb bb curls.  And the sad part is the guys themselves probably never said that shit, but then they have to pretend to validate it outside the mags because otherwise it makes their sponsor look like a bunch of dipshits.

That's exactly what I think... They have to be full of crap or their own 'guys' will shit on them.

here you go

I've been miss quoted on this many times for once an for all it was 7-45's and a 25 on each side. I did only bearly weigh 200lb's I did do it for 3 full reps. I've done six plates for sets of ten!! Now I get it done with less than 315lbs.
I don't have to bragg on my lifts. If you ask me what the most I've ever lifted I'll tell you what it was. The key word is was. I did a lot of things in my 20's I'd never do now!

DID YOU SEE THE WHEELS BRO!!!
